Key Responsibilities:
Requires a thorough knowledge of general building maintenance with emphasis on electrical solving, including AC & DC circuits, high voltage (480), high amperage and some 400 cycle equipment
Requires experience in industrial wiring and the ability to read and follow wiring schematics and work without supervision
Journeyman electrical license a plus
Requires the ability to make low and high voltage repairs to all building electrical equipment
This includes solving, installation and repair of 110/220/480 volt single and multiphase electrical circuitry and devices
You should also have some experience in related building equipment and trades, such as air handling units, plumbing and steam fitting, fire systems and conveyors
Facilities Technicians must be able to work around the clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, in the outdoors in all weather conditions
Schedules are bid and awarded according to seniority
Facilities Technicians are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT)
Salary increases will be administered according to the current IBT/United contract
New employees are required to join the union within ninety (90) days of employment
There is an initiation fee for joining the union and subsequent monthly union dues which are set by the Local Lodge

About the Role
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance Team repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. Key Responsibilities:
Follow GMP/PPE, Safety guidelines
Follow & maintain HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes
Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing to complete required documentation)
Implement facility services portion of all work orders
Work safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment
Perform preventive maintenance and repair duties
Work to implement and assist in the coordination of all minor building moves
Perform repair and maintenance work of minor complexity to building furnishings, fixtures and finishes
Coordinate work to assist contractors and vendors employed to perform repair and maintenance work and moves of moderate to high complexity
Maintain safe work environment
Work in a fast paced environment
Maintain inventory of tools required to provide services
Work with little supervision to complete tasks in the allotted time frame
Understand MSDS information sheets for plant chemicals and cleaners
Work with department technicians, staff, and management to maintain inventories of parts, materials, and equipment required
Assist with various building inspections and audits
Maintain a clean work area at all times
Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write and speak English; comprehension of basic math.
Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.
Ability to work flexible schedule
Ability to multitask
Ability to understand plant KPI's (production, quality & safety)
GED/High School Diploma.
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC background preferred
Ability to effectively use manual tools, power tools, climb ladders, use testing equipment and work with common paints and lacquers

Physical Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Role: Responsible for Building and Testing of Valve Assemblies
Requirements
Build and calibrate pneumatic and electric valve and actuator assembles
Read and interpret technical documents, including work instructions, drawings, and manuals.
Perform visual inspections and quality checks during assembly and disassembly processes.
Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring instruments safely and accurately.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting of valve assembles
Maintain accurate records and documentation of assembly processes and quality checks.
Track all assemblies within the business system software, ERP, and spreadsheets.
Test all components for functionality, performance, and accuracy; record all data in ERP.
May need to operate forklifts and manage inventory, including picking, staging, and issuing materials.
May need to package and prepare products for shipping, coordinating with logistics as needed.
Create and maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Demonstrate a short learning curve and eagerness to learn new processes.

Some previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or mechanical assembly role; specific valve assembly experience is highly valued.
Experience in using precision hand tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches).
Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies and components.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn and apply new technical skills quickly.
Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
Must be able to prioritize and follow the order of a particular build.
Reliable and punctual; must be available to work overtime, holidays, and rotating on-call shifts as needed.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with frequent interruptions.
Eagerness to learn and grow through both formal training and hands-on experience.
