This position is an essential part of Sherwin's manufacturing team. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support production requirements and goals. Equipment may include: dryers, chillers, thermal oxidizer, HVAC, fire pump, mixers, mills, filling line equipment, conveyors, wrappers, tanks, motors, pumps, tank washers, tank tipper, as well as dock and building maintenance, etc. This position performs various maintenance tasks as assigned and is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and productive working environment. Manage contract service providers and support contractors completing maintenance activities. Assist and mentor other technicians and associates when needed. Support startup, commissioning and turnover of new systems in assigned area. This Role Will Offer You A key role supporting world-class pharmaceutical production systems Hands-on involvement with complex process equipment and utilities Opportunities to lead, mentor, and train maintenance team members Exposure to project management and lean initiatives Competitive pay, benefits, and professional growth within a high-performance team You Will Be Responsible For Planning and performing preventive maintenance and repairs on process equipment, including bioreactors, centrifuges, ultrafiltration skids, parts washers, autoclaves, isolators, and fillers Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime Writing, revising, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities Training and mentoring maintenance technicians to promote skill growth and technical consistency Maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance work and inspections Evaluating and recommending new equipment purchases, upgrades, or process improvements Assisting management in budget development and forecasting for maintenance and capital projects Providing input on maintenance schedules and resource planning Ensuring all work follows safety procedures, SOPs, and cGMP standards Reporting unsafe conditions to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and management Participating in required safety and health training Supporting off-hour or emergency maintenance operations as needed Conducting spare parts assessments and maintaining inventory readiness Performing other related duties as assigned You Will Bring the Following Minimum Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED Minimum 6 years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar manufacturing environment Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Preferred Education & Experience Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing maintenance Experience with Project Management or Lean Six Sigma principles Experience mentoring or leading maintenance teams Certifications (Preferred) Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems In-depth understanding of cGMP requirements and documentation standards Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong project management and organizational capabilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles Attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance Decision-Making & Scope Works on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative Determines methods and procedures for new assignments Serves as an informal team leader, providing guidance and technical support Understands broader implications of work and contributes to long-term solutions Physical Requirements Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolding, and ramps Capable of standing or sitting for extended periods (up to 60 minutes) Able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs Performs repetitive hand, wrist, and finger motions Requires corrected 20/20 vision and ability to distinguish color Must be able to hear and respond to audible cues May work in enclosed or elevated areas (>4 feet) Work may require hearing protection and participation in a conservation program May involve work in temperature-controlled or mechanical environments Working Environment Primarily based in production, mechanical, and cleanroom areas May require respiratory protection, depending on assigned tasks Possible exposure to outdoor elements or variable temperatures Work may include tight or confined spaces

We are looking for a Scale Service Technician. Duties & Responsibilities Install, maintain, service, repair, and calibrate a diverse range of scale and weighing solutions. Provide premium client service through a professional demeanor & technical competence. Develop strong client relationships to drive new sales for the company and suggest solutions to clients' problems. Work independently in a wide-geographic area serving a diverse set of clients with minimal oversight. Become proficient in Handbook 44 and qualify as a scale technician in the company's three state footprint (NC, SC, VA) Complete all required documentation (work orders, truck scale reports, calibration certificates, plant inspection reports, etc.) to time and quality standards. Analyze testing and calibration results, including statements of conformity or opinions and interpretations. Accurately report, review, and authorize results. Communicate often and clearly with the service manager throughout the workday. Must also be able to visually inspect equipment, job sites, and vehicles. Must be able to respond to audio prompts and alerts Must be able to interpret and navigate digital screens and work-flows. Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs individually. Qualifications High school diploma Minimum of 2 years work experience desired. Technicians should have basic hand-tools necessary to provide day-to-day maintenance. Large capacity tools, scale specific tools, or other custom equipment will be provided by the company. Must be able to pass a drug screen. A background check may be required for this position. Mechanically inclined is considered a plus. Responsive communications with your manager, the team, and leadership is paramount. Special working conditions include evening and weekend work, working out of town on overnight trips, working outdoors, working in and around industrial facilities across a wide swath of industries, working with challenging stakeholders, and so forth. Scale technicians will get dirty and should be comfortable with this reality. Physical Requirements & Essential Functions The job is physically demanding as the scale technician must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, perform repetitive tasks with few breaks. The scale technician must be able to access and clean scales as well as move 500 lbs by cart.
