ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Installs, maintains, and repairs water and sewer lines and related system components, including taps, valves, pumps, tanks, service lines, etc.
Inspects and evaluates condition of systems; diagnoses and corrects leaks, blockages or other problems; clears debris from manholes, water and sewer lines, easements, valve boxes, etc.; performs confined space entries; cleans manholes and lines; and changes out sewer rings and lids, etc.

GENERAL PURPOSE
Under supervision, performs construction, maintenance and/or repair on water and wastewater utility system equipment and company facilities as directed.
DUTIES
Responsibilities include the following:
Assist in the investigation of utility systems and troubleshoot and correct electrical, mechanical and piping problems as experience and training allows and as directed by Lead Maintenance Mechanic. Pull, repair, and analyze mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, submersibles, etc.) as necessary to complete required repairs. Assist in the installation of new utility system improvements and other water and wastewater utility related projects.
Responds to maintenance schedules for equipment and vehicles. Assures the proper maintenance duties are performed. Responds to emergency calls as designated.
Assists with the proper maintenance of equipment of plant, collection or distribution facilities; may drive a company vehicle and is responsible for appearance, maintenance and organization of vehicle and tool inventory.
Works with other maintenance employees and assists in coordinating the efficient use of allocated labor and supplies for day-to-day requirements.
Responsible for keeping maintenance records up-to-date including work orders and related forms.
May assist in other duties such as reading meters, cleaning and clearing activities, painting, project punch-out, loading and unloading materials.
Act as trainee if designated, in regard to operation of heavy equipment (backhoe, excavator, tractor, etc.).
Perform lift station inspections including cleaning, properly setting level controls, cleaning wet well walls, documenting hour meter readings and calculating run times, trim/cut grass and weed as needed, test alarm/communication systems weekly and report abnormalities to the Lead Technician.
Manhole inspections including completing the report on each manhole and meeting the minimum quantities required.
Fire hydrant maintenance including flushing, greasing, painting and completing the report on each hydrant and completing the minimum quantities required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess mobility to work in wastewater treatment plants and related facilities; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work in confined spaces, around machines and to climb and descend ladders, and to operate varied hand and power tools and construction equipment; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; color vision to read gauges and identify appurtenances; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. The job involves fieldwork requiring frequent walking in operational areas to identify problems or hazards. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate above-mentioned tools and equipment. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work and inspect work sites. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 75 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.
ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS
Employees work mainly outdoors, and partially indoors, and are exposed to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, vibration, confining workspace, chemicals, mechanical and/or electrical hazards, and hazardous physical substances and fumes. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives, and contractors in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.

Position Summary
The Utility Technician performs a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and/or construction of the Town's drinking water distribution systems. Level of supervision is dependent upon experience and license level: entry level technicians perform work under close supervision with minimal latitude in the use of independent judgement, whereas Level III licensed technicians will more frequently exercise independent decision making.
Responsibilities and Reporting During an Emergency Situation: If assigned, employees in this classification will be required to report and carry out duties as directed for the duration of an emergency. Depending on the nature of the emergency, this may require working around the clock for several days on short notice.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform basic skill level operation involving construction, repair, and maintenance of the Town's drinking water distribution systems.
Perform basic maintenance and repair of vehicles, equipment, plant facilities and tools.
Safely operate a variety of specialized vehicles, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of water and/or wastewater systems.
Prepare assigned equipment for daily work orders by inspecting daily prior to and after use and perform regular maintenance and minor repair as directed.
Ensure the safe loading, unloading, and operating condition of equipment through daily safety inspections for defects, malfunctioning, or otherwise substandard conditions. Identifies and takes corrective action or advises supervisor when needed.
Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle and logs data, notifies supervisor of concerns or maintenance needed.
Perform maintenance and repair on municipal property, i.e., installation and repair of water or irrigation lines, oil changes, flat tires, stocking vehicles, washing vehicles, vacuuming weekly.
Utilize various manual, gas, and handheld electrical tools and equipment in the performance of assigned tasks.
Completes all service orders assigned including meter change outs, meter box replacement, pressure tests, data loggers, utility locates, customer request off/on and leak tests.
Accurately reads and records water meters for billing purposes.
Install and changes meters; turns service on and off as needed.
Maintain fire hydrants to include flushing hydrants and notify proper persons to ensure the hydrant is in safe, working condition at all times.
Repair chlorine analyzers at pumping stations.
Record chlorine residuals and master read daily.
Read water meters monthly and fire line meters quarterly.
Maintain simple records and logs; completes reports as necessary.
Distribute signs across affected areas, tags doors on all affected areas; and notifies appropriate team members to make code red notifications when a Boil Water Notice is issued.
Perform maintenance on booster station and water towers as needed.
Isolate valves during main water breaks to avoid the pressure dropping too low on the island.
Retrieve samples for water tests that need to be sent to the lab.
Complete supply inventory monthly; prepare paperwork needed for purchase orders and notify management when materials and/or tools need to be ordered.
Record maintenance to water systems using assigned software.
Work with contractors on projects as assigned.
Perform maintenance and repair on municipal property, i.e., installation and repair of
Assist skilled personnel in projects and cleanup as directed.
Assist Public Works staff with projects as directed.
Perform standard operating procedures for cleanup of overflow (wastewater / reuse spills) occurrences in an effort to minimize the environmental impact and to ensure the safety of other personnel and residents.
Assist in supervising external crews as directed.
Respond to calls on weekends and after hours as assigned on the weekend on call schedule.
Respond to emergency calls as needed.
Attends all assigned events and meetings.
Perform emergency response tasks and assignments as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Certification, and Experience:
High school diploma/GED; one (1) year of related experience in a maintenance or utilities capacity.
Class III Water Distribution License issued through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection or the ability to obtain a "Distribution 3" license within the first 18 months of employment.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. CDL including appropriate endorsement is preferred.

**Position Summary**
The retail Sales and Service Technician (SST) is a unique hybrid role for stores and is intended as a key pipeline for future career-growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. This role is primarily responsible for serving the customer through assessing needs, recommending appropriate products and/or services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely completion of services.
Successful individuals in this role will learn all aspects of store operations and effectively flex between interacting/ serving the customer and efficiently completing basic vehicle service tasks as required.
Pay Range: $14.73 - $22.04
**Responsibilities**
**Hybrid** **Role**
+ Customer service, sales, customer issue resolution- 75%.
+ Basic vehicle service tasks, oil, tires, fluids- 25%.
+ Store operations, opening/closing, inventory, displays- as needed basis.
**Growth and career development role**
+ May assist Manager or act as Manager-On-Duty in certain circumstances or to support development.
+ Learn all aspects of store operations and flex between front/back shop tasks.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.

U.S. Water Services Corporation is a well-established and diverse water and wastewater utility organization specializing in utility maintenance, operations, engineering and construction services. GENERAL PURPOSE
Under supervision, performs construction, maintenance and/or repair on water and wastewater utility system equipment and company facilities as directed.
DUTIES
Responsibilities include the following:
Assist in the investigation of utility systems and troubleshoot and correct electrical, mechanical and piping problems as experience and training allows and as directed by Lead Maintenance Mechanic. Pull, repair, and analyze mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, submersibles, etc.) as necessary to complete required repairs. Assist in the installation of new utility system improvements and other water and wastewater utility related projects.
Responds to maintenance schedules for equipment and vehicles. Assures the proper maintenance duties are performed. Responds to emergency calls as designated.
Assists with the proper maintenance of equipment of plant, collection or distribution facilities; may drive a company vehicle and is responsible for appearance, maintenance and organization of vehicle and tool inventory.
Works with other maintenance employees and assists in coordinating the efficient use of allocated labor and supplies for day-to-day requirements.
Responsible for keeping maintenance records up-to-date including work orders and related forms.
May assist in other duties such as reading meters, cleaning and clearing activities, painting, project punch-out, loading and unloading materials.
Act as trainee if designated, in regard to operation of heavy equipment (backhoe, excavator, tractor, etc.).
Perform lift station inspections including cleaning, properly setting level controls, cleaning wet well walls, documenting hour meter readings and calculating run times, trim/cut grass and weed as needed, test alarm/communication systems weekly and report abnormalities to the Lead Technician.
Manhole inspections including completing the report on each manhole and meeting the minimum quantities required.
Fire hydrant maintenance including flushing, greasing, painting and completing the report on each hydrant and completing the minimum quantities required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must possess mobility to work in wastewater treatment plants and related facilities; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work in confined spaces, around machines and to climb and descend ladders, and to operate varied hand and power tools and construction equipment; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; color vision to read gauges and identify appurtenances; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. The job involves fieldwork requiring frequent walking in operational areas to identify problems or hazards. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate above-mentioned tools and equipment. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work and inspect work sites. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 75 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.
ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS
Employees work mainly outdoors, and partially indoors, and are exposed to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, vibration, confining workspace, chemicals, mechanical and/or electrical hazards, and hazardous physical substances and fumes. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives, and contractors in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
