Flexible work schedule Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on: Refrigeration systems (walk-in freezers, reach-in coolers, blast chillers, HVAC units). Other bakery equipment (deck ovens, rack ovens, mixers, proofers, boilers, pumps). Facility systems (plumbing, drains, filters, mechanical support systems). Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic diagrams, with a strong understanding of technical symbols and system logic. Carry out routine tasks such as filter changes, drain cleaning, lubrication, and safety checks. Diagnose root causes of failures and implement effective solutions independently. Take ownership of problems: not just reporting them, but resolving them efficiently. Work proactively: when no active work order is pending, seek out preventive tasks, improvements, or solutions. Maintain accurate records in CMMS such as Limble and ensure full documentation of maintenance activities. Keep shop areas organized, stocked, and compliant with safety and food safety standards such as OSHA, SQF, EPA. Support equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Test Technician is responsible for assembly, installation, testing, and repairing of electro/mechanical systems. This role encompasses production, customer returns, engineering development, data collection, and testing. Candidates must possess strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to the component level, and be adept in using hand/automated tools, setup/calibration/test equipment. Responsibilities Assembly, testing, troubleshooting of electro/mechanical/optical products. Perform electro/mechanical assembly, alignment, design, and testing. Complete associated documents and paperwork. Check material kits for completeness and alignment with bills of materials. Test assembled parts and sub-assemblies. Perform final packing for Laser Radar. Assemble and clean components. Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized work area. Complete and submit documentation for improvements and replacement components. Keep supervisor informed of all unresolved and/or potential problems and work interruptions affecting production schedules. Provide support to Production Supervisor on all production assignments and may assist in other departments as necessary. Assist in other job duties as required within the facilities. Stay conversant with current industry quality and Health & Safety requirements, specifically concerning laser light. Essential Skills Troubleshooting to the component level. Testing and repair of electronic systems. Experience with ESD-safe electronics, mechanical systems, and LIDAR. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree, 2-year technical diploma, or 1 year of relevant experience. * Experience in Metrology and/or LIDAR is desirable. Work Environment The facility is comprised of 35-40 people, including approximately 15 engineers and 20 technicians/manufacturing staff. It is a state-of-the-art facility located in Manassas, VA, with onsite testing and manufacturing labs. Employees will have the opportunity to follow designs through the life cycle and work directly with manufacturing engineers for development. Most work is individualized, requiring comfort with ownership of tasks and a quiet environment. The technology involves high-frequency operations. Work hours are 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
