Responsible for Maintaining and Improving Plant performance. This is typically a non-shift work position although situations may require work outside normal shift. Performance Technician will perform mechanical, instrument and electrical maintenance. See skill set listed below. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manipulates air separation controls to meet product specifications and production requirements Adjust plant control variables, monitor and manage process equipment parameters to meet production goals. Be safety conscious, i.e., meetings, work areas, eliminate hazards, etc. Ability to prepare and maintain production operations and distribution records to meet the requirements of FDA, DPA, OSHA, ISO Quality Systems and other internal and external requirements. Participate in the maintenance and updating of plant and equipment work instructions. Prepare and maintain production operations and distribution records to meet internal and external requirements. Prepare QA documents to certify product quality; transcribe/transfer data from process computer data bases and tables, etc. to prepare product loss and reports. Troubleshooting the causes of plant operational issues and alarms, either directly or in conjunction with the local team. Assisting with starting / stopping the plants in a safe manner as dictated by operating conditions and business needs. Optimizing plant performance by tracking performance data and implement the best operating plan for all plants. Executing productivity ideas and Best Practices to keep plant costs down. Interacting closely with all the supporting groups/personnel for performance optimization and troubleshooting. Perform other projects and duties as assigned. This role is responsible for supervising, advising and coordinating the work of the mechanics assigned to work under their direction. Warrick Smelter is looking for a professional to provide safe and efficient execution of assigned work as scheduled, supervise crew time, provide problem analysis for equipment history and appropriate response to emergencies. This may be first or second shift and weekend work will be required. To be successful in this role and to play a part in our ongoing success we desire the following background: * High school diploma/GED required. * 2 years of experience in heavy industry (aluminum, steel, mining, paper/pulp, etc.) and performing maintenance/troubleshooting on rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes etc. * Confirmed experience troubleshooting PLCs and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits. * Experience using a CMMS and applying process data to troubleshoot equipment issues * Proven understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and material conveying systems. * Ability to read and interpret drawings, codes and standards. * Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills. * Ability to work on other shifts and/or come in early or stay late as needed. * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Roller Coaster Maintenance Technician is a full-time position that is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing wooden roller coaster structures. This role ensures all coasters and equipment comply with all state and federal laws, comply to manufacturers' operating standards and requirements. This role performs visual and auditory inspections of roller coasters, and maintains proper records for all inspections, maintenance, and repairs of all wooden roller coaster structures. Coaster Technicians are also eligible for our skill-based pay program! This compensation program allows our Part & Full-Time Maintenance Team to increase their rate of pay by developing their knowledge and skills at our parks through the completion of certifications and cross-training in other departments.
