Recommends to supervisor the amount of labor needed to produce the job effectively and efficiently. Able to set up, clean and change over machinery quickly from one product to another. Oversees staff on the line are meeting throughput and quality requirements for the job. Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or manufacturing standards. Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine and stop machine. Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. Measures workpiece dimensions, using rule, manufacturing standard, or other measuring instruments to determine accuracy of machine operation. Performs minor machine maintenance. Maintain a safe and clean workspace and environment. Communicates with maintenance, Crew Lead and/or Shift Lead on machine problems. Sets up machinery to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished workpieces. Transfer finished products around plant and warehouse using hand truck or pallet jack.
