Essential Duties: * Performs daily Airport safety and security inspections of Airport facilities, perimeter, grounds, and properties to ensure regulatory compliance with FAR Part 139, Airport Certification Manual, FAR Part 77, TSR 1542, Airport Security Program, and other federal, state, and local regulations or policies; issues notices to airmen (NOTAMs), maintains logs; and records in accordance with regulatory requirements; writes incident/accident reports; and interacts with tenants and customers. * Performs daily, nightly and special Airport self-inspections in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations and the Airport Certification Manual (ACM). * Inspects airfield surfaces, lighting, signage, and navigational aids in accordance with FAA Regulations. * Performs general field maintenance to include mowing, weed removal, and sweeping in addition to general custodial services; issues work orders for non-conforming conditions. * Monitors on-airport construction projects for safety and conformance with approved construction safety and phasing plans. * Responds to all aircraft incidents and accidents on the airfield in accordance with the Airport Emergency Plan and to surrounding jurisdictions as requested and implements the Airport Emergency Plan. * Maintains a safe operating environment for emergency personnel through coordination with Air Traffic Control. * Initiates FAA, NTSB, or other agency investigations as directed by Department notification procedures. * Handles general Airport Security in accordance with the Airport Security Plan (ASP); performs Airport security checks in accordance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations. * Responds to Airport security incidents such as perimeter security breaches, unattended bags, etc. in accordance with the Airport Security Plan. * Responds and monitors alerts. * Performs snow and ice removal operations to the runways, taxiways, aircraft parking ramps, Airport public roads, sidewalks, and parking areas in accordance with the Airport Snow and Ice Control Plan. * Issues/cancels Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) along with other airfield safety and operational notification requirements. * Issues Field Condition Reports (FICON). * Logs, tracks, and responds to wildlife sightings and reports received; prepares regular reports and documentation of wildlife incidents; and regularly inspects Airport perimeter to identify wildlife habitat locations, access points, food sources, etc. and takes appropriate corrective action. * Operates heavy machinery; mows with tractor flail mower; operates street sweeper; and maintains perimeter roads with dump truck and back hoes. * Conducts regular inspections and monitoring of, but not limited to, aviation fuel service operations and storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP). * Conducts airfield driver's training. * Performs administrative work; reviews, responds, and generates emails; generates reports; and handles other Airport documentation. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic knowledge or interest in aviation environment; one (1) year of airfield operations and/or maintenance experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Licensing, Certification, and Other Requirements: Possess a valid Arizona driver's license; pass a TSA-mandated 10-year security background investigation, pre-employment drug test, fingerprint background check, and driver record check. Completion of the Airport Operations training program, as outlined in the City of Prescott Airport Operations New Employee Orientation/Training Guide, within three (3) months of hire. Possess an AAAE ACE-Operations and/or AAAE ACE Security Designation or have the ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire. Desire an Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License. Job Duties Leadership and Supervision Supervises, trains, and schedules maintenance staff to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards. Conducts regular team meetings and daily briefings to communicate priorities, safety updates, and upcoming projects. Delegates maintenance assignments based on team members' skill sets and monitors progress for quality and timeliness. Provides coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations for maintenance staff. Ensures all team members adhere to Sunridge safety, appearance, and customer service standards. Guest and Team Member Relations Meets and exceeds guest and team member expectations by providing prompt, courteous, and professional service. Responds quickly to guest and staff maintenance requests; ensures issues are resolved effectively and documented accurately. Demonstrates teamwork by assisting other departments as needed and maintaining open communication with all hotel teams. Handles difficult situations or guest complaints with professionalism and follow-through. Preventative Maintenance and Repairs Oversees and performs preventative maintenance throughout the property to maintain all rooms, public areas, and equipment in optimal condition. Ensures daily preparation and completion of preventative maintenance assignments and checklists. Conducts regular inspections of guest rooms, equipment, and facilities to identify and resolve maintenance needs. Coordinates with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or major projects. Performs hands-on maintenance tasks when necessary, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting work. Safety and Compliance Ensures compliance with hotel and brand safety standards, including proper use of tools, chemicals, and protective equipment. Demonstrates familiarity with the hotel's life safety systems and responds appropriately to maintenance or operating issues that affect security or safety. Maintains accurate records of safety checks, inspections, and incident reports. Reports any hazards or injuries immediately and takes corrective action. Inventory and Equipment Management Maintains and organizes the maintenance shop and storage areas. Oversees inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; ensures timely ordering to avoid delays. Manages maintenance budget and tracks expenses for repairs, parts, and equipment. Ensures all operating equipment is in working condition through regular checks and maintenance logs. Administrative and Communication Keeps the General Manager informed of significant maintenance issues, project status, and potential safety or budget concerns. Maintains maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance records. Assists with capital planning by providing input on equipment replacement, property improvement projects, and vendor quotes. Attends required meetings and training to remain current on industry practices and Sunridge standards. Professional Conduct Adheres to hotel attendance, grooming, and dress code policies. Promotes a cooperative and harmonious work environment among all departments. Projects a favorable image of Sunridge Hotels at all times through professionalism and leadership. Performs additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
