Find out more about us: **************** SUMMARY The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery and perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. Under the direction of the EH&S Specialist, will manage small to mid-sized projects such as safety policy implementation or waist/scrap measurement, recording, reporting, and disposal. Will actively participate in the facility's Safety Committee. Plans repair work using the building's blueprints or equipment manual as needed. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Cleans, maintains shop areas, including organizing, stocking, and inventorying parts, tools, and supplies. Working effectively with other team members, including production personnel and other maintenance staff. Responding to emergency requests for repairs and replacements. A sudden breakdown calls; you move from preventive to corrective maintenance, reference the technical manual, phone a vendor for a spec, and get the machine back online safely and quickly. What you'll do Champion safety rules and best practices, every task, every time. Execute preventive maintenance: lubricate, measure wear and positions, reposition components, and monitor operations, vibration, and noise levels. Respond to emergency and breakdown calls to keep production on track. Use equipment manuals and technical literature to guide repairs and installations. Partner with vendors and subcontractors to achieve reliable outcomes. Accurately use measurement and test instruments for precise troubleshooting. Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam system repairs and new installs. Operate the boiler safely and maintain adequate operating steam pressure.
