Job Description: Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials, and operation principles of electrical equipment under direction of supervisor. Ensure compliance of OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements concerning work assignments. Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment not limited to AC/DC generators, switchboards, distribution panels, electrical motors, lighting, alarm circuits, cables, and connectors. Install and connect facility lighting and equipment circuits using conduit, hangers, and building wire. Coordinate preventative maintenance to ensure downtime for repairs is minimized. Place conduit, pipes, or tubing inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas; and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other drawings to complete assigned tasks properly. Identify and categorize cables by type, number of conductors, and wire size.
