This role is integral to the overall operations team, providing day-to-day technical and operational support at the client's site. Responsibilities Operate within a highly complex communications network, ensuring 99.99% system uptime with zero defects as a key team member. Engage in system monitoring, routine preventive maintenance, customer issue tracking, and network problem resolution for all networking aspects essential to backend systems. Handle system administration, network monitoring/management, new buildouts, network changes/maintenance, IP and system infrastructure upkeep. Diagnose technical problems, identify root causes, and develop procedural and technical recommendations for improvement. Plan and manage the implementation of new products into the production environment. Monitor system limitations to optimize capacity and efficiency. Conduct equipment-level capacity planning and network performance activities. Maintain inventory and configuration management records, including software releases, patches, and hardware changes. Ensure compliance with Data Center Standards, Service Management Quality Program, and ITIL standards. Manage escalation and emergency response requests in a 24/7/365 environment, with occasional work during maintenance windows outside of normal working hours. Oversee power, HVAC, fire detection/suppression, and local security and monitoring systems. Proactively identify issues, create tickets to capture all details accurately, follow documented escalation procedures, use the notification system to communicate issues to customer service and upper management, and troubleshoot events promptly. Adapt to evolving responsibilities and duties, emphasizing communication, flexibility, and adaptability. Basic Requirements: Must be a U.S. Person (e.g., U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, U.S. National, as position requires access to U.S. export restricted materials) AA degree, electronics school certification, or equivalent military training and experience. 2+ years of experience as a technician in SATCOM/Terrestrial environment with LAN/WAN industry standards, working knowledge of TCP/IP, and Ethernet configuration and functionality desirable. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining an attractive, safe, and pleasing environment for residents is of the utmost importance in delivering service to the community. Under supervision, performs routine maintenance in the common areas, while maintaining good relations with the residents.
