Full Time - Full Time Maintenance Worker - Residential Facility

Granite Recovery Center is looking for a skilled Maintenance Worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.

Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Job Functions:
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues Install appliances and equipment Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc. Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check. Proven experience as assistant director or other similar position Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
Salary Range:
Range generally starting between $18.00 - $24.00 an hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.

Responsible to eliminate all causes of failure and ensure full useful life in coordination with daily maintenance completed by operating personnel. Leads activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. Provides technical and problem-solving support for the plant and maintenance crews. Supports and executes plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve Plant's key performance goals for overall maintenance performance. Assures production schedules are met and all issues are resolved and communicated in a timely fashion. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.

Manage regulatory compliance such as environmental compliance (e.g. Environment, Great Lakes and Energy - State of Michigan (EGLE).Incident Commander in charge of coordinating of Emergency Response teams to proactively deal with security breaches, fire, tornados, bomb threats, hazardous spills, ammonia discharges.Monitor electric, natural gas, portable water and waste water usage on daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure data is used towards energy savings and cost reduction initiatives.Coordinate handling of water by monitoring daily usage, overseeing portable water requirements, managing discharge procedures with EGLE and supervising maintenance of equipment used at water treatment facilities (lagoons).Submit waste reports through TIER II.Oversee the Process Safety Management program and Risk Management Plans.Accountable for steam and refrigeration to assure maximum operating efficiencies are maintained to meet production needs.Compliance to all OSHA safety regulations and standards

Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, Production Operations Management or equivalent field of study.Three years' work experience in maintenance supervision in a manufacturing environment preferred.TPM experience desired.SAP experience desired.Food industry experience preferred.PLC knowledge preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Some background in one or more of the building maintenance fields, such as Heating/air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical
