Must acquire Florida boater safety training, CPR certification, FWC boat & trailer training. Creel shifts are scheduled via random selection, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will be conducted 10 days a month. Each shift will be 5 hours with the earliest shift being 7am - 12pm and the latest shift being from 1pm - 6pm. Job duration: January - June 2026 Position Overview and Responsibilities: Job duties include the monitoring of fishing effort of Lake Talquin. This position will interview anglers on the water while operating a boat, asking specific questions about their catch and harvest of freshwater fish species. This position is responsible for accurately recording detailed survey data. Surveys are conducted in sometimes inclement weather, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. The incumbent will be responsible for operating FWC vehicles and vehicles for FWC business only and in a safe and law-abiding manner This position is seasonal and temporary.
