As a Maintenance Mechanic Technician, you will support the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Lead in the execution, planning and scheduling of work orders to maintain the facility and production equipment. Support in the maintenance department's goal of a safe and hazard free work environment. Relocation assistance available. You will be responsible for the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The execution of corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance work orders as planned by the Maintenance Coordinator and directed by the Maintenance Lead.
All Team Members are responsible for safety, this includes personal safety and food safety. Must drive positive safety culture.
Using mechanical and electrical knowledge along with troubleshooting skills, install, repair and maintain various paperboard converting equipment from the sheeting process to the finishing process.
Using basic general maintenance skills, maintain the general building facilities.
Providing repair time estimates to the Maintenance Lead or the Maintenance Coordinator to aid in the planning of preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.
Executing workorders as directed by the Maintenance Lead
Actively participating in the asset reliability program.
Participate on process improvement teams to drive down downtime and a waste while improving productivity through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and formats to improve overall asset reliability.
Participate/Lead brainstorming sessions with key operators, technicians, and managers using root cause analysis to provide action plans for problem resolution.
Support the maintenance manager and coordinator with training materials to support asset reliability initiatives and subsequent maintenance related activities.
Support classroom training and shop floor engagement.
Actively participating in the asset reliability program through timely and the correct completion of work orders.
Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment including but not limited to performing basic trade activities such as electrical (if qualified and authorized), plumbing, welding (if qualified and authorized), and carpentry work.
Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment
Maintains and repairs a variety of hand and power tools ensuring they are in safe and efficient working order.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems and other mechanical systems on production equipment to assure optimum performance of that production process.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or another member of the leadership team.

An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.
Use strong PLC trouble shooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
Maintain production equipment to a reliable level of production through preventative maintenance
What you need to succeed:
Shift: Must be willing and able to work any shift, including rotating shifts as well as weekends.
3 years' industry experience (facility, large equipment electrical and mechanical) OR 2-year technical degree and 1 year industry experience.
Previous experience in a paperboard converting facility a plus.
Excellent leadership communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal.
Experience troubleshooting and can demonstrate knowledge of: Electrical schematics, Mechanical systems, PLCs, HVAC, Air Compressors, Hydraulic systems and/or paperboard converting systems based on previous experience

The starting rate for this position is $40.88, depending on your role, level and location.

As our Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic, you will work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely. All your hard work is geared toward supporting our customers and maximizing their uptime. When a truck is sidelined, you will be a primary member trusted to get it back in service quickly and correctly the first time.
This role demands both technical expertise and the ability to think critically under pressure. You will be responsible for analyzing and diagnosing truck malfunctions or system failures, then determining the best course of action to return the truck to peak performance. That may mean repairing or rebuilding cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, or air systems.
Beyond repair work, you will also be expected to maintain and service trucks to ensure reliability, minimize downtime, and extend the life of each vehicle. The role requires not just hands-on mechanical ability but also sound judgment, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver work that meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

The A-Level Technician is responsible for advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and proactive maintenance of Heavy Duty fleet vehicles. Working closely with fellow technicians and Operations, this role ensures vehicle reliability through accurate scheduling, field repairs, and timely change-outsminimizing service disruptions and supporting safe, efficient transportation for staff and clients.
Compensation:
$40.00 - $50.00 / Hour with a $7,500 sign-on bonus

Responsibilities:
Regularly inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts condition and operational safety; ensure maintenance of the highest level, including physical appearance.
Repairing vehicle transmission, brakes, engines and other associated parts.
Address immediate fleet concerns and maintain fleet maintenance records: review driver defect reports daily, review PMs and trouble-shoot/resolve issues to reduce the number of road calls and ensure a prominent level of safety within all operations.
Track daily vehicle reports, labor hours, maintenance, and repair records to ensure all maintenance files are accurate and current.
Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown, make appropriate arrangements to have inoperable vehicle or equipment repaired or towed.
Supports the IT Team in the management of on-board shuttle technology such as Wi-Fi devices, telematics systems and vehicle tablets to ensure the systems are functional and installed accordingly.
Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issue.
As needed assign work order to B and C level technicians.
Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.
Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age
5+ years of maintenance experience working with a variety of vehicles; experience with transit buses and motor coaches strongly preferred
609 (EPA) HVAC Certification
Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with HD electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension systems
Proficient in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software, including but not limited to Cummins Insite, QuickServe, AllData, WABCO, and Bendix
High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
Current/Active DOT Medical Card
Must pass pre-employment DOT drug test
Able to communicate proficiently in English
Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs. This may require occasionally working outside of regularly scheduled hours.
Must be willing to work in outside environments, which may include inclement weather.

ASE-Medium-Heavy Truck and ASE-School Certification
ASE School and Transit Buses Certification
Powertrain Certification
Commercial Drivers License (Class A or B) with Passenger (P) endorsement preferred; CDL training may be provided for qualified Fleet Technicians
