Full Job Description
ChildServe is seeking a Driver who would be responsible for the transportation of supplies to all ChildServe facility locations as needed; function as needed as driver to transport residents; transport and load/unload supplies. Responsible for light maintenance work when not driving/transporting.ScheduleMonday - Friday daytime hours with the potential for some on-call responsibilities. What You'll Do
+ Must maintain a driving record that meets facility and insurance approval.
+ Deliver and unload supplies to ChildServe subsidiaries as needed.
+ Provide the timely transporting of residents to appointments.
+ Assure that appropriate records are kept of all trips.
+ Keep vehicles fueled, cleaned and ready for use.
+ Regularly check vehicles for general condition, noting minor upkeep needs.
+ Maintain service records on all vehicles and coordinate with supervisor in scheduling for outside maintenance.
+ Responsible for proper disposal of used oil, etc.
+ Performs light maintenance as needed and directed by supervisor while not transporting or driving
What You'll Need
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Required to certify a list of all traffic violations every 12 months.
+ Ability to maintain the confidentiality of client information.
+ Self motivated.
+ Must be able to assist in physically loading and unloading supplies, equipment, and residents from vehicles.
+ Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, transfer, or otherwise move 50 pounds independently.
+ Willing to obtain a CDL Class C license if needed in the future.
+ Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, read traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, to make entries on reports and records, and readily learn location of ChildServe subsidiaries and various physicians/clinics frequented by ChildServe residents.
+ Patience and tact in dealing with residents, staff, parents and others in the community.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language
