Montech Inc. is seeking a qualified Maintenance Worker to provide professional trade services to ensure the continuous, safe, and effective operation of healthcare facilities, staff quarters, and auxiliary buildings. These services are critical to maintaining regulatory compliance, patient safety, and operational readiness within IHS healthcare facilities. Duties will encompass preventive maintenance, emergency repair, installation, and documentation of work through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Place of Performance/Hours of Work The full-time Maintenance Worker will provide services in support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, except for recognized federal holidays. Some evenings, nights, weekends or other non-standard duty hours may be required to meet operational needs. Responsibilities The Maintenance Worker shall perform a full range of duties in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repair, and equipment maintenance. Perform general building maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and grounds work. Conduct routine repairs on refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating systems under supervision of higher-graded staff. Install and repair sinks, lavatories, showers, hot water heaters, and plumbing fixtures. Paint interior and exterior surfaces, patch drywall, and maintain finishes. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical lighting systems, including switches, relays, and ballasts. Maintain some grounds maintenance, including snow removal, facilities access paths, and equipment upkeep. Record work in CMMS and follow preventive maintenance schedules. Perform other duties related to maintenance and operations of facilities systems. Respond to call-back and emergency duties outside normal working hours. Qualifications The Maintenance Worker shall have a minimum of 3 years of experience at positions of similar context and complexity as this one. Knowledge across multiple trades, with emphasis in plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems. General trade skills across painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC support. Ability to follow detailed instructions and progress to independent work with minimal supervision. Must hold a valid New Mexico state driver's license. Under direction from the Facility Manager will perform semi-skilled, planned, proactive and reactive maintenance repair work on Credit Union grounds, building and equipment. Will work to create trust with Credit Union staff and members, and provide excellent customer service in order to provide a safe, clean and well-maintained work environment which best serves our members. Minor plumbing repairs such as replacing faucet aerators, replacing filters on refrigerators and ice makers, unplugging clogged sinks and toilets, replacing and tightening toilet seats, and adjusting and repairing flush valves and tank toilets. Minor carpentry and millwork repair relating to doors, windows, cabinets, and other similar items. Small paint projects (i.e. touch-up painting and minor wall paper repair). Electrical work to include changing out lamps and possibly ballasts, setting time clocks, replacing and installing cover plates on switches and receptacles. General HVAC inspections and trouble-shooting, adjust thermostats if needed, log equipment and promptly report issues that may require more trained technicians. General building maintenance such as hanging picture frames for departments, clean-up of spills when custodians are not available, installing dispensers in restrooms, and stocking paper products if needed. Occasional cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, trash removal or snow removal if needed. Maintenance of the grounds by picking up trash, pulling weeds, and trimming shrubs and trees. Identify and perform proactive work and repairs in order to prevent future, more costly repairs. Enter the following into the automated work order system: respond to customer requests with updates and action/solution(s), document work performed and time needed for task and materials used. Travel as needed between locations to perform assigned duties. Requirements Experience and Knowledge: Minimum eight years of experience performing commercial facilities maintenance, preferably in a corporate or financial institution setting. Demonstrated knowledge of general construction and repair techniques related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and other related systems. Knowledgeable in the use of hand tools and power tools associated with facility maintenance. Demonstrated knowledge and experience practicing safe workplace techniques to prevent personal injury and injury to others. Basic knowledge of computer applications. Prior experience with an automated work order system (i.e. FacilityDUDE) desired. Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. An apprentice or journeyman's license in electrical or plumbing preferred. Interpersonal Skills: Works well with Credit Union members, employees and service technicians/third party vendors. Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic III - Plumber to join our operations & maintenance team. Typical work schedule will vary based on business demand. This position is responsible for providing an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing repairs to fixtures and systems in a manufacturing environment. Working under minimal supervision as a member of a self-directed work team, this is a multi-craft position that may perform machine repairs and general non-licensed maintenance work, as well as support other licensed trades as directed. Requires good working knowledge of all types and applications of equipment pertaining to maintenance and operations for assigned area, and the ability to work within machine tolerances. General maintenance, including minor duties in carpentry, painting, and sheet metal, may also be required. The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic III - Plumber must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required. Responsibilities: Determine the location for and type, size and amount of material required, considering such factors as volume, pressure, temperature and type of substance being piped. Lay out, construct, install, rebuild, maintain, repair, adjust, modify and test plumbing systems such as water, drain lines, lawn and fire sprinkler systems, etc. Assist in the maintenance and repair of underground sewer and water systems. Provides O&M related services for latrines and the water works system for structures including pre-existing and portable containers. Performs O&M plumbing consisting of all materials and labor from the first valve and manhole to the building including all plumbing fixtures and piping contained within, and outside the building. Performs planned maintenance on all building equipment and related services for specific area while being sensitive and responsive to customer needs. Performs preventative maintenance inspections. Develops and implements planned maintenance procedures, performs job estimates, maintains spare parts inventory. Keeps stock persons informed as to parts consumed from inventory. Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment and servicing installations. Provides support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work. Complies with all governmental, company, and industrial regulations, codes, and standards, health safety practices, and permit systems. Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards. Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required. Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions. Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work. Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment, yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer. Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial facility mechanical equipment, including vacuum systems and RO/DI water systems. Experience troubleshooting and repairing large commercial or industrial HVAC/R equipment. Experience maintaining basic plumbing needs. Working knowledge of all types and kinds of hand and power tools, air measuring instruments, various refrigeration equipment, various electrical meters, meggers, and shop equipment.
