Main Responsibilities:
Equipment installation and preventative maintenance:
o Set up proprietary ALPLA equipment
o Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure
optimal functionality and prolong equipment lifespan.
o Perform adjustments to machinery as needed to enhance performance and
accommodate specific production requirements.
• Performs predictive maintenance:
o Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies, such as condition monitoring
and diagnostic tools, to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime
or production disruptions.
o Employ specialized technical knowledge to perform predictive maintenance
tasks, including assessing equipment health.
• Troubleshooting and repairs:
o Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using a
systematic approach to identify root causes accurately.
o Collaborate with technical experts and utilize troubleshooting techniques to
address routine issues effectively and efficiently.
o Execute repairs on molding machines, both independently and with technical
guidance, restoring equipment functionality promptly to minimize production
interruptions.
• Facility Maintenance Support
o Contribute to general facility maintenance tasks beyond equipment-specific
responsibilities.
o Assist in maintaining a safe and organized working environment by
addressing facility-related issues and supporting maintenance efforts in
shared spaces.
o Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure a well-maintained and
conducive production environment for seamless operations.

Position Overview:
This position requires industrial mechanical knowledge, some electrical, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Skilled in the application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools. 480v 3 phase knowledge required.
Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability, electrical a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred.
2+ years' experience and demonstrated history of troubleshooting and repairing equipment (described above), personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices. Allen Bradley and/or Siemens experience preferred.
Skilled in the machine shop to machine within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment - i.e. verniers, calipers, depth gauges, etc.

$34.14 - $40.96

What Youll Bring (Requirements):
State-specific EMT certification + Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator (EMSVO- PA) endorsement or Emergency Vehicle Operator License (EVO- DE)
Current Healthcare Provider CPR
Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800 (online options available)
Familiarity with OSHA, HIPAA, and other EMS regulating bodies
Valid state drivers license with clean/unrestricted driving record

Facilities Technician
Maintenance worker job in Allentown, PA
The Facilities Technician performs ongoing preventative maintenance and repair work on exhibits and physical plant systems, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems. Technician supports set up and teardown efforts for programs and special events and generally collaborates with Visitor Services, Operations, and Museum Experience staff to ensure that the facility maintains a high level of operational readiness and is prepared to deliver a high-quality guest experience to visitors. This position occasionally performs maintenance on an “on-call” basis. Technician maintains and monitors the cleanliness and appearance of the facility and follows all appropriate safety practices and procedures while on the job.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs preventative maintenance and repair of exhibits, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and building systems. (Major repairs may be performed with or by 3rd party vendors under supervision of facilities staff)
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists for maintenance procedures and maintains records of maintenance performed.
Ensures the efficient and prompt handling of all department work orders and requests.
Performs facility inspections and reports on conditions affecting operations.
May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment, exhibits, or utility systems.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests during and after normal hours of operation to resolve immediate safety concerns and ensure operational readiness.
Assists with the renovation/remodeling of the facility; repairs plaster and drywall, paints building structures.
May obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts; orders parts as needed.
Assists with the installation of traveling and internal exhibits.

Cleans the building and grounds as needed for the purpose of delivering a high-quality guest experience, preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure.
Helps coordinate custodial staff, restocks custodial supplies, and offers custodial support as necessary.
Performs general landscaping, weeding, watering, tree trimming, and snow removal as required.
Interacts with guests by answering questions, supplying directions and providing exceptional guest service.
Participates in and supports a productive and positive team environment with a focus on customer service.
May perform care and maintenance of LSS systems and animal habitats after receiving proper on-the-job training.
Maintains compliance to City, County, and State ordinances and codes.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety. Assists in training colleagues in proper safety techniques. Notifies management about safety concerns.

Education Requirements

Gather the necessary data for senior personnel to develop estimates for major repairs, overhauls, and crane replacements
Understand crane terminology including crane components
Perform proper OSHA and NAVFAC P-307 inspections
Demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with industry standards such as OSHA, ASME, ANSI, CMAA, MHIA, EM-385
Plan general inspections and repairs as described above
Overnight travel approximately 12-16 weeks per year, typically on weekdays
Qualifications for Overhead Crane Technician

Proven experience as a Motor Controls Technician, Industrial Electrician, or similar role.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, motor control circuits, and PLCs.
