Responsibilities:

We are a large residential apartment complex in Newburgh, NY. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Grounds Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all residents and visitors.
THIS IS NOT A LANDSCAPING POSITION.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of outdoor areas, including walkways, parking lots, and common areas.
Remove debris, litter, and trash to keep the grounds tidy and presentable.
Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months to ensure safe access for residents and visitors.
Emptying the trash compactor
Removal/breaking down of discarded items (couches, tables, mattresses, etc.)
Cleaning out the dumpster enclosures
You may also be needed to assist with transferring maintenance supplies and from one vacant apartment to another, unloading supplies, moving appliances, unit cleanouts, carpet removal, etc.
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Must be able to lift 50lbs, carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

About this Role
The Facilities Maintenance position is an important role on the Silgan Dispensing team and is a great opportunity for those looking to join our company. Our plant helps produce thousands of our dispensing products each day. So, it's important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. Facilities Maintenance is the lead role in keeping our building running smoothly. It is a mutli -facet position, interacting with all the departments in the building. Here's a list of duties that our Maintenance Mechanic performs on a typical day:
Maintain and perform minor repair of building structure including outside custodial duties.
Maintain and troubleshoot minor maintenance problems, advising management when technical assistance is required. Work with Vendors to drive rapid solutions to maintain production.
Supervise the Janitorial and VMI support services for hardware, PPE, GMP, and cleaning inventory.
Complete PM tasks to a schedule, while looking for new opportunities to improve the PM system.
Support maintenance functions in all departments as needed, specifically Molding and Assembly
Manage Facilities Upgrade or Replacement Projects focusing on adherence to a plan and schedule.
Occasionally assist other CT locations for repairs and/or deliveries via company vehicle.
Qualified Candidates must have:
Machining capability - lathe, grinder, vertical mill
Strong mechanical ability.
Some basic machinist skills.
Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics a plus.
Basic plumbing capabilities.
Basic carpentry capabilities.
