Completes forestry work to include pruning trees and operating a wood chipper. Demonstrates the ability to exemplify, by his/her actions, the County PRIDE philosophy. Performs related duties as assigned. Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines: High school diploma or GED equivalent; AND some previous experience in park and grounds maintenance which includes equipment operation, electrical, plumbing, and/or carpentry experience is preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Knowledge of: Applicable local, State, and Federal laws, codes, regulations, and ordinances. Work safety policies, procedures, and practices. Tools, materials, equipment, and methods used for general grounds and facilities maintenance. Skill in: Interacting tactfully and professionally with County staff and the public.
