POSITION PURPOSE:
Performs analysis on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and energy management systems to ensure proper operation and advises on corrective action. Uses the available data systems to effectively manage work and track performance. Reviews mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects in Energy and Physical Plant operations (Maintenance and Operations) with respect to budget, maintainability, reliability, and energy management. Coordinates with school administrators and other staff as required to execute maintenance work and minimize disruption to school operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards;
Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point; Google Apps;

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in engineering or a related field;
Five years of experience in Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems design, design reviews, construction, or related field;
Three years of experience leading work teams;
Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of NC requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) License.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides the focal point for project review, which includes review of project design and coordination of project impact with work centers; reviews projects from the standpoint of maintainability, reliability and energy management.
Provides analysis and recommendations to directors and supervisors on resource allocation, work execution, and process improvement relating to Maintenance and Operations processes, resources, and mission requirements.
Uses the computerized management system(s) within Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) to effectively manage work and track performance.
Manages work orders, maintenance projects, contracts, cost estimates of projects, feasibility studies, long-range planning, and service contracts and provides customer interface.
Supports preventive maintenance programs through development, annual assessments, and by ensuring the workforce is used in the most cost-effective manner.
Provides additional expertise in supporting operations with on-call expertise in analyzing field problems and identifying solutions; includes work order planning when additional expertise and design considerations are needed.
Manages the infrastructure and building systems by assessing the technical condition, evaluating the repair or replacement options and priorities, and providing future planning, programming of repairs and improvements.
Inspects projects to ensure compliance as required with design guidelines, contract documents, codes and regulations.
Ensures compliance with all state and government laws and regulations as required; Ensures WCPSS procedure and policy compliance and application of sound business principles.
Maintains technical records, files, and equipment on assigned projects.
Assists with reducing costs and keeping projects on-time and within budget.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, students, parents, external agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. Must be able to physically access all elements of a building or construction site with possible exposure to extreme weather conditions, dust, pollen, insects and housekeeping chemicals. The work frequently driving automotive equipment. Travel is required to schools, central service offices, and other locations both in and outside of Wake County.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
An employee in this class performs a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled equipment operation and labor tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of utility lines and related appendices. Work involves tasks to dig, build, repair and replace sections of water and sewer lines and services, hydrant and valve maintenance, meter installs and repair, etc. and using a variety of tools to perform the assigned tasks. As needed the employee operates light to heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, loaders, forklifts, compactions equipment, and multiple hand-held devices in situations requiring skill and care to dig around underground and overhead utility lines (which involves high voltage electric), near traffic, in traffic in both minor streets and multilane NCDOT highways, beside houses, behind houses, between houses and in other tight places etc. Employees are subject to working in both inside and outside environments and in confined spaces, in extreme hot and cold weather, and exposure to various hazards such as loud noises, vibration, moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation, and oils. Work around wastewater is subject to the final standards of OSHA on blood borne pathogens. Employees are also required to serve rotating on-call and call-back work. Work is performed under regular supervision and is evaluated through observation and inspection for adherence to instructions and standard trade and safety practices.

Reporting to the Director of Electron Beam Engineering, the E-beam Engineer will be responsible for growth, engineering projects, and support of break down maintenance globally. In support of the Sterigenics business unit's strategic plan the E-beam Engineer will focus on the electron beam irradiation plants. Routine support of approximately 8 plants will be required on an as needed basis.
This position provides a unique opportunity to directly execute, and project manage Capex growth or maintenance-type projects or support other assigned project managers in their remote coordination of activities. With Total productive maintenance as a strategic priority, a strong interest and involvement with plant engineering maintenance initiatives and support will be key.
Development, tracking and communication of project and maintenance performance indicators will be essential with safety and quality being central tenets of all efforts. A solid engineering education with electrical and mechanical experience will be fundamental requirements. Experience and general knowledge of control system architecture, functionality and operations is considered desirable.
The E-beam Engineer will be expected to autonomously execute on responsibilities with course directions set by the Director of Engineering. The E-beam Engineer will liaise routinely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, OpEx, Purchasing, Legal and Finance as required throughout the project life cycle to ensure stakeholder alignment.
Active travel to facilities internally will be necessary. Must be willing to travel up to 50%.

Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall maintenance of the club's facilities, both indoors and outdoors. Day to Day
* Maintain carpets clean by vacuuming and spot cleaning where necessary. Keep all floors swept, mopped, and polished, including courts, exercise rooms, stairwells, lobby and hallway areas, restrooms, and any other areas needed.
* Dust and wipe down furniture, shelves, chair arms, desks, credenzas, chandeliers, pictures, televisions, woodwork, and artwork, including all ceiling HVAC registers.
* Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in their respective areas, to meet club standards and as communicated expectations (i.e. orderly/organized work areas, straighten/arrange entry area, picking up trash/debris, etc.).
* Perform or contract facility maintenance and housekeeping repairs and maintenance including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, building equipment, carpentry, flooring, walls, ceilings, special projects, and other related areas.
* Responsible for maintaining a maintenance and project checklist/schedule for preventive maintenance and ongoing improvements.
