Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the performance of the manufacturing, processing, and packaging equipment in a designated area of the plant. Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within limits of general practices and procedures, but where supervision is available to handle unusual situations

Work is performed under general guidance of the Maintenance Lead, Supervisor, and/or peers.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment including but not limited to servo motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, and related production equipment.
Performs scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines and systems during downtime..
Repairs the malfunction of machines, systems and auxiliary equipment.
Routinely checks on machinery and systems for signs of fault in order to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions.
Initiates improvement on the functionality of machines and equipment to increase its efficiency.
For more senior positions, might act as a team leader to ensure that the work meets agreed targets by directly overseeing team members.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices.
Will become the subject matter expert at higher levels of job.
Documents activities accordingly using good documentation practices. .

Required to apply advanced working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization. Exercises general application of principles, theories and concepts, and proposes a course of action. Performs advance shop floor competencies.
Works under general supervision. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning & checking the work of other peers.
May require some limited judgement in resolving problems.
