Job Description Part-Time Maintenance Worker $20 per hour (Onsite) The City of Falls Church, VA is recruiting for a part-time weekend Maintenance Worker in the Recreation and Parks Department. This is physical work, including breaking down of a weekly farmers market, setting up and breaking down of daily classes and rentals, maintaining the community center to include general daily custodial duties; perform scheduled routine maintenance to include carpet cleaning, floor waxing, etc. This position will also assist Park crews during snow removal and special events. Requirements: • Experience in maintenance work preferred, especially in the areas outlined above. • Satisfactory pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check. • Valid Driver's License in state of residency with a good driving record. • Must report to work in and wear steel-toed safety shoes of an acceptable standard at all times on the job, effective first scheduled workday. • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as well as respond to emergency situations. Hours: Part-time - weekends - 13 hours regularly scheduled per week; Saturdays 12-7pm, Sundays 10am-4pm. Additional weekend and holiday hours as needed for programs and special events.
