    The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance & Grounds Worker will include a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at the MSPCA Boston facilities. We are seeking an entry level or experienced candidate who has a demonstrated interest in the MSPCA Angell and looking to get hands on experience in many areas such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, painting, and grounds maintenance. Candidates with experience with snow removal and operating plows and/or snow blowers are preferred. Some of the duties include: Provide physical maintenance through the facilities including, but not limited to, painting, carpentry, as well as general utility work. Performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of locks on doors, cabinets, desks, closets Assist in care of outside areas using equipment and materials allocated by the MSPCA. This includes gas, diesel and electric powered machinery. Provide on-call after hour assistance for emergencies and snow removal. Office set-up, move and assist in moving furniture and equipment at the facility. Maintain grounds (lawn, shrub and tree maintenance; Prunes trees and shrubs; clean debris from roof and roof gutters). And other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Physical Requirements Able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. Able to perform moderate to heavy physical operation when required including pushing and pulling.
