PURPOSE : To install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Must possess the ability to visually inspect and test machinery or equipment, diagnose electrical problems, and perform necessary repairs needed to safely install and/or return production equipment to acceptable operating conditions.
Dismantles defective machinery and equipment. Correctly installs reconditioned, new, or repaired parts.
Must be able to carry out planned maintenance activities such as but not limited to cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery or plant equipment as well as installing and repairing electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, electrical, and electronic components.
Plans out and installs plumbing assemblies to maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment and repairs or replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
Must have a working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot plant machinery and equipment.
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Require some basic carpentry skills such as but not limited to fabricating or repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures as well as some masonry skills.

This is a full-time experienced Maintenance Mechanic position that is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. Maintenance Mechanics are also responsible for troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC electrical systems, reading schematics, and using electrical testing equipment (Volt-Ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope). Responsibilities The Maintenance Millwright will:
Operate mobile equipment (including but not limited to excavator, loader, skidsteer, etc.)
Feed portable plant with raw materials
Stockpile materials around plant area
Use machinery to regulate flow, quality, and size of materials to and from conveyors, crushers, and screens
Inspect and dismantle machines and equipment to locate the causes of malfunctions and to correct the problem

Essential Functions:

Install, wire, and troubleshoot control devices, proximity sensors, switches, counters, relays, and VFDs
Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repair on three-phase motors and control circuits
Troubleshoot, diagnose issues, repair/replace parts for, and test/adjust mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, parameter lists, fault code listings, and troubleshooting guides

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience emphasizing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical skills required
Completion of Craft Apprenticeship or industrial maintenance training program strongly preferred or 3+ years of experience in electrical maintenance experience
PLC, Robotics, or other automation experience is strongly preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/ABILITIES
Some knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in building and grounds maintenance.
Ability to lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
Ability to perform minor maintenance on parks equipment, building and structures.
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least one (1) year of experience performing manual labor; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is continuously exposed to outdoor weather conditions and wet, humid conditions that are non-weather.
