The Maintenance Technician supports the daily operations of the maintenance department by performing equipment and machinery inspections, repairs, and maintenance. This role includes performing preventative maintenance and assisting with maintenance tasks carried out by others to ensure the smooth operation of the building and equipment
3-day work week is approx. 34 hours
4-day work week is approx. 46 hours (guaranteed OT every other week)
Our work week runs Sunday through Saturday and the pay cycle is weekly on Thursday.
Only 15 working days per month!

Interview availability is Monday - Friday - 9 am to 2pm hard stop at 3
The required training schedule is on the first shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm for 90 days unless they demonstrate proficiency sooner

Responsibilities of a Matec Millwright
Installation and Assembly: Assemble and install machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and hoisting equipment. Ensure accurate alignment and fit of components.

About the Role
You will advance Mori's mission of “More Food, Less Waste” by providing technical support to our Pilot Plant, which scales and ensures stability of new manufacturing processes and product formulations ahead of process transfer to our co-manufacturer for commercial production. Summary:

Job Description:
Maintenance Responsibilities - Building
1. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled and maintains proper documentation.
2. Completes preventative maintenance inspection slips correctly.
3. In collaboration with the Director of Facilities Management, ensures that all vendors perform the required preventative maintenance on identified contracted equipment and that proper documentation is maintained.
4. Corrects all preventative maintenance findings/issues in a timely manner.
5. Perform all monthly inventories and maintain par levels of all supplies in collaboration with the Director of Facilities Management.
6. In collaboration with the Director of Facilities Management, ensures that The Herrick House operates in compliance with, EOEA and OSHA regulations.
7. Performs apartment renovations after resident moves out as requested (i.e. painting, plumbing, kitchenette and bathroom replacement) and in a timely manner.
8. Performs internal moves as instructed.
9. Completes resident request for service within 24 hours.
10. Perform safety/fire inspection on all new residents after one week of move in and provide documentation.
11. Performs daily assignments in a timely manner.
12. Completes assigned projects within specified timeframes.
13. Utilizes equipment according to manufacturer safety guidelines.
14. Assists the Director of Facilities Management in performing fire drills.
15. In the absence of the Director of Facilities Management, responds to emergency maintenance calls
16. Stores seasonal decorations and storage as directed.

21. Responsible for ensuring all necessary exterior building repairs are done on a timely basis.
Maintenance Responsibilities - Grounds/Landscaping
1. Keeps grounds free from debris, maintaining a safe, clean and attractive Herrick House exterior.
2. Keeps trees, bushes, shrubs, etc. trimmed.
3. Plants and maintains flower gardens.
4. Maintains outdoor furniture and ensures it is kept clean and in a safe condition.
Education/Experience: Knowledge with OSHA standards. Also required is the ability to organize and provide the maintenance needs of the residence and work with outside vendors and contractors as needed. Requires the skills to perform maintenance functions on the building and grounds. The ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing is essential. A high school diploma is required. Computer knowledge as needed.
