Job Summary
The Processes Engineer role is located within the O&M department of the Offshore Renewables business. The role will be working in the O&M package of the New England Wind project reporting to the Principal Project Manager (O&M). The O&M package is responsible for taking the project through the pre-FID (Final Investment Decision) and readiness phases to ensure the project is fully prepared for operation. This includes development the operational processes, procedures, inputs for the OPEX model, negotiation of the major contracts (ensuring that all O&M contracts are in place prior to O&M handover), recruitment of the site team and evolving all operational tools.
The handover of assets is a crucial part of the transition from offshore windfarm construction into the operational phase. The main purpose of the O&M Asset Integrator Engineer role is to assist with technical package interfaces in the engineering and construction of the project, along with planning the key stages of handover and managing this process with the multiple stakeholders within the project.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that project requirements are developed with a strong emphasis on health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
Liaise with Quality Systems team to develop and maintain a quality system for the O&M direction, including standards processes and procedures for the operation of the wind farms.
Management of processes to adequately mitigate safety risks associated with the assets.
Plan the key handover stages of the project. Negotiation and agreement of when the different project assets will be transferred to O&M ensuring that this is completed to program and within budget
Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure O&M technical requirements are met and manage interfaces between stakeholders proving updates as required
Provide regular updates on progress in handover planning dates for overall O&M Readiness program
Support the O&M Site Readiness team in developing a handover process for the O&M building facilities
Be responsible for the organisation of regular meetings with project packages and construction team, identifying follow up actions, ensuring all milestones are met
Support development of the overall project O&M strategy
Gather lessons learned from other operational projects (including project in Europe) and implement where appropriate to ensure continuous improvement within offshore operations and maintenance.
Maintenance strategy development: WTG technology understanding and BoP risk maintenance-based concept.
Planning and coordinating the handover of all construction assets to O&M for the operational phase of the offshore windfarm
Delivering timely updates to planned handover dates and proposing strategies for resolving technical issues
Organizing their own workload, setting overall and project objectives in conjunction with the Principal Project Manager
Anticipating contractual and technical risks, opportunities and threats to the project and implementing control measures or actions
Making recommendations to project's senior management team and provide regular documented updates or attend meetings
Contributing to the following meetings: Weekly meeting with O&M project team.

Engineering oriented Bachelors (BSc/BEng) degree level or demonstrated significant experience in a relevant discipline

Maintenance Worker
This is an AFSCME unit position and is subject to the terms of the current AFSCME collective bargaining agreement.

II. SUMMARY OF SERIES:
Incumbents of positions in this series: install or assist in the installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, or related systems, equipment, and fixtures in a food service area; check equipment for malfunctioning; maintain and repair equipment; and perform related work as required.
The basic purpose of this work is to perform tasks that ensure the proper maintenance and repair of food service systems, equipment or fixtures, and to assist in the installation of equipment.
