Responds to emergencies in a timely and professional manner. Treats customers with patience and respect.
Operates motor vehicles such as box truck, pickup truck, and a forklift; operates moving equipment such as a dolly and a hand truck.
Assists with snow removal on campus.
Attends and participates in department mandated trainings and meetings.
Follows safety procedures described in training sessions, including use of personal protection equipment.
Prepares simple reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:

Working under the general direction of the Director of Facilities & Conservation, the Grounds & MaintenanceWorker works as part of a team responsible for performing skilled grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, fertilizing, and caring for shrubbery and all planting areas. Responsibilities
The Grounds & MaintenanceWorker responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Grounds Maintenance
Mowing lawns with riding or push mowers
Trimming and edging around trees and sculptures
Trimming and removing trees and bushes
Planting nursery stock with both manual labor and operation of electrically-powered and gasoline-powered equipment and machines
Use hand and power tools in planting, cultivating, and trimming grounds and landscaping
Planting trees and shrubbery
Fertilizing and watering trees and plants

Support with ad-hoc requests to support Facilities & Conservation as necessary
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping (no prior conservation support experience necessary)
Experience operating and maintaining heavy machinery, such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, tree chippers, all-terrain forklifts, snow removal vehicles, etc.
Proficiency in operating groundskeeping equipment, hand tools, power tools, and other machinery (training also provided)
Valid NYS Drivers' License required
Ability to follow both oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others
Ability to work both independently and in teams
Working Environment
Works primarily outdoors
Ability to maneuver outdoors, in all weather conditions, on 500 acres of hills, grass, and gravel path ways

Your responsibilities as a Behavior Technician at Lighthouse will include the following:
Implement ABA therapy techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Crew Supervisor and/or Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor, the Building MaintenanceWorker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the Montclair State University Facilities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean campus facilities alone or in teams; clean public areas and meeting spaces.
Perform room set-ups; replace light bulbs, clean light fixtures and restrooms.
Sweep, mop, strip and wax, buff floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
Collect and remove trash, bring trash to curb or receptacles, transfer recyclable materials.
Dust all surface and vent, and clean inside window surfaces.
Clean desks, tables, chairs, and remove graffiti.
Clean offices, classrooms, and work areas.
Perform snow removal as directed.
Attend in-service training and participate in University quality and processing improvement initiatives.
Assist with the sorting, distribution, transportation and storage of cleaning supplies.
Keep janitorial closet stocked and clean; maintain housekeeping equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Management retains the right to add or change job duties at any time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. and use a ladder.
Ability to work any shift, overtime and holidays in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
