Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. What is your day to day?
Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC/R systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment as it pertains to assigned buildings.
Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities.
Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
Submit P-card Receipts Daily
Update work order status in real time
Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in the technical aspects of HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to understand, follow and/or provide verbal and written instructions or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record. Must obtain an Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License, Class A with N endorsement within six (6) months of employment (depending on class/testing availability). Must obtain State of Oklahoma Class "D" Water Operator certification and/or Class "D" Distribution/Collection certification within six (6) months of employment.
Knowledge: Hand and power tools. Maintenance and construction work.
Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous of fellow employees and citizens while performing duties.
Essential Functions: Repairs water lines. Lays new pipe. Repairs and installs fire hydrants and line valves. Installs and exchanges water meters. Interfaces with citizens in person regarding minor complaints or questions. Inspects equipment for safety hazards before use. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as needed. Works in a manner safe to the individual and other people. Keeps work area clean and safe. Follows safety rules and safe work practices. Uses safety equipment as required. Assists Equipment Operators, MaintenanceWorkers II, and Meter Readers when needed. Performs related duties as required.
Mental and Physical Abilities: Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (25-50 lb.) and heavy (50-75 lb.) supplies, materials, and debris frequently. Work requires continued walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Ability to maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance.
Working Conditions: Frequent exposure of up to 80% of work time to dirt, dust, extremes of temperatures, noise, and noxious fumes and odors. Exposure to hazards associated with equipment, machinery, rough terrain at construction sites, and moving vehicles on roadways. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.

Description : Application JOB TITLE: Utility MaintenanceWorker 1-II DEPARTMENT: Utilities ACCOUNTABLE TO: Utility MaintenanceWorker III PAY RANGE: No CDL - Grade 12 $15.47, CDL - Grade 14 $16.53 FLSA: Non-Exempt SAFETY SENSITIVE: Yes/DOT This classification is a safety-sensitive position as defined by the United States Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing regulations and/or the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act. As a safety-sensitive classification, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana certification will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Under general supervision, performs manual and semi skilled tasks in their assigned Water and/or Sewer Utility System. Work may vary, individual judgment is limited within prescribed standards and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Physical demands include bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, reaching, walking on rough or uneven terrain, kneeling, and pulling or lifting up to 60#s (greater with assistance).
* Work is performed in uncontrollable working conditions of inclement weather of heat, cold, dampness, and hazardous chemicals;
* Must possess and maintain ODEQ Class D Water and Wastewater Certificate within one year of employment and maintain such Certification throughout employment;
* Must obtain Oklahoma CDL Class B License within 6 months of employment and maintain such License throughout employment;
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND PERFORMANCE:
* Keeps water Distribution and Sewer systems operating efficiently. Assists in the repair of water and sewer line breaks;
* Maintains, locates, raises to grade, and marks water main valves, assists in valve and water line mapping;
* Relieves sewer line stoppages by operating hydro-flusher to clear pipe of congesting materials; Cleans and repairs manholes;
* Inspects taps made by contractor to maintain quality control of the taping processes;
* Repairs and replaces fire hydrants and notifying fire department when fire hydrants are out of service;
* Operates jackhammer, excavates trenches, and installs shoring
* May perform physical labor tasks, shovels, loads and hauls gravel;
* Performs other duties as may be required and deemed necessary.
* Prepares daily log of own activities; work is frequently performed in uncontrollable physical conditions of pollution, heat, cold, noise, and dampness;
* Contact with others is incidental to the performance of duties requiring common courtesy and relaying of information;
* Work performed requires care and use of proper safety equipment and following established safety procedures to prevent injury.
SUPERVISION - RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS: None
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Graduation from High School or its equivalent; PLUS
* One year of progressive work experience, preferably in the operation and maintenance of equipment;
* Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with others;
* Must possess and maintain ODEQ Class D Water and Wastewater Certificate within one year of employment and maintain such Certification throughout employment;
* Must obtain a valid Oklahoma CDL Class B License within 6 months of employment and maintain license throughout employment.
EXAMPLES OF PERFORMANCE CRITERIA AND EXPECTATIONS:
* Troubleshoots minor mechanical equipment problems;
* Troubleshoots and locates causes of water quality complaints;
* Utilizes knowledge of water and sewer line construction and maintenance;
* Performs standby and call back work during off duty hours;
* Follows all applicable safety procedures, uses proper safety equipment, and operates assigned equipment in a safe manner;
* Demonstrates knowledge of safe work practices and procedures;
* Performs other work as directed.
