Maintenance Technician - Facilities Technology (Night Shift) $29.15-$33.15/hour starting | Up to $36.75/hour top-out Full-time | On-site | Relocation assistance available We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Technology team. In this role, you will perform preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance to ensure all equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. Shift Details Training: Candidates will begin on day shift for onboarding and training. Shift Premium: Includes a $2.00/hour night shift premium. Compensation & Growth Starting range: $29.15-$33.15/hour, based on prior industrial maintenance experience. Performance-based step increases available up to $36.75/hour top-out within approximately 6-18 months. Additional overtime opportunities may be available. Key Responsibilities Perform all maintenance work safely, professionally, and to standard, following all company and regulatory guidelines. Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment. Accurately document all maintenance activities in the company's maintenance management system. Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and workplace organization. Collaborate with operations, quality, and EHS teams to maintain optimal plant performance. Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Perform welding, fabrication, and basic machining tasks as needed. Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and PLC systems to identify and resolve equipment issues. Execute other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a 2-year accredited Industrial Maintenance Certification program preferred. Experience Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or completion of an equivalent technical program. Skills & Knowledge Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance methods. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Working knowledge of PLC systems, CMMS software, and industrial controls. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Understanding of production processes, quality standards, and equipment reliability practices. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs unassisted). Summary: The responsibilities of the Senior Maintenance Technician will be distributed broadly across several functional areas supported by Engineering. Primary responsibilities will include maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of process equipment and conveyor systems, automation training, support, and troubleshooting; Facilities moves/additions/changes; support of Engineering and CI initiatives and projects; Facilities coordination; site security; site safety and 5S. Identification of spare parts, highlighting critical spare parts, and maintaining efficient inventory levels of spare parts. Perform repairs on mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, electrical systems and controls, including SATO printers, Stream feeder inserters and box erecting/sealing equipment. Work directly with Plant Facilities Management and Asurion IT Department to execute changes, moves and/or expansions of departments and workspaces. Assist Supervisor/Manager with managing vendors, holding them accountable for work requested. Installation of pneumatic piping, tubing, actuators, valves, and pneumatic systems as well as electrical conduit, wiring and controls. Conducting regular maintenance on automated systems QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED Associates degree or Post-Secondary Technical School preferred. 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a technical machine repair function, that includes machine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of high-speed packaging equipment, and highly automated equipment and production lines. Detail oriented individual with good organizational skills, and proven ability to initiate priorities based on general guidelines. Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks within established deadlines. Intermediate level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic PLC experience, including Allen Bradley RS Logix, Control Logix or similar software for troubleshooting of PLC controlled systems. Working knowledge of mechanical power transmission, gearing, sheaves, shafts and bearings. Working knowledge of pneumatic clutches, brakes and mechanical motion control. Working knowledge of 120/208 single phase vac electric power distribution and circuits; basic knowledge of 480 vac 3 Phase power distribution and transformers. Working knowledge of motors and motor controls including 3 phase and single-phase AC motors, DC stepper motors, 3 phase motor starters and AC variable frequency drives. Working knowledge of pneumatics including actuators, valves, and pneumatic print interpretation. Read and interpret mechanical design and machine drawings, electrical design drawings and wiring schematics. Safe practices using basic machine shop equipment: drill press, band saw, grinders, belt sanders. Strong knowledge of OSHA general industry regulations on electrical safety (lockout/tag out).
