The Maintenance Mechanic maintains and repairs production equipment on all levels, keeping down time to a minimum. Also provides a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
Responsibilities
Repairs various mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components (e.g. cylinders, valves, drives, etc.) installed on production machines.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems and or failures of automated equipment and initiates repairs.
Adjusts and replaces various electrical sensors used for proper operation of assembly machine.
Performs preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment on special runs to ensure safe reliable operation and makes suggestions for improvement.
Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on facility systems as scheduled or needed.
Opens/closes facility; start up/shut down equipment.
Uses tools and equipment such as powered hand tools, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and volt meters, etc.
Assist in some spill responses and pest control as needed.
Rigging and moving of machinery as needed.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals, drawings and schematics.
Operate within a cGMP regulated environment, managing documentation associated with facility, equipment, and parts changeout.
Aide and observe all outside contractors, including escorting and monitoring work done to ensure safe practices.
Maintain a spare parts list and inventory of critical spares.
Communicate with production operators and production manager about any equipment being out of service and an estimated time for return to service.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school w/ 2 years' experience repairing automated equipment OR a minimum of a High School Diploma and 6 years' experience repairing automated equipment required.
3-5 years' manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, steam, and operation of automated equipment required.
Effective communication skills required.
Forklift and scissor lift certifications a plus.
Welding and machinery experience a plus.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Summary of responsibilities:

External Applicants Only - Ground Maintenance Technician (Stationary) hired to work at the LGA airport receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus. You will receive $2,500 after 90 days of employment and the remaining $2,500 after 180 days of employment.
The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $36.22 with the ability to increase your hourly rate within 6 months of your start date, based upon premiums offered. Examples include but are not limited to CIMM Certification, Shift differential, and Skill differential.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be proficient in English.
Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
Be willing to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must achieve a satisfactory score on entry tests structured to determine ability to perform required tasks.

Work Schedule: Full-Time 7:00am - 3:00 pm / Part-time, Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Project Hospitality's Homeless Drop-In Center facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the transportation of clients to other sites.
Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and inform the supervisor of any issues that may arise with the vehicle.
Ensures the cleanliness of the Drop-In Center, including; vacuuming, dusting, mopping/buffing floors, emptying all garbage and taking care of recyclables, maintenance/upkeep of bathrooms, cleaning windows.
Perform minor repairs such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and painting of property as needed.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies/equipment.
Maintain all documentation as needed including mileage logs and maintenance checklists.
Snow/ice removal on the property.
Qualifications
