Skills Required
Performs routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment Perform maintenance tasks to include - repairing and improving, from minor rebuilds to major overhauls on all equipment.
Identify processing waste reduction opportunities and assist in reduction projects.
Participate in preventative maintenance program to help reduce costs of operations through PM optimization.
Dismantles, cleans, repairs and tests electrical, electronic and mechanical components to determine component-level failure
Support equipment installations, retrofits and upgrades to include vendors and contractors
Communicate, coach and train employees to continuously improve team's ability to respond to equipment failures and loss of production.
Actively support NCE through SLC DOR, DER, GSTD's - DMAIC projects and Debriefs or shift handoffs
Maintains preventative maintenance logs and accurate records of all testing and repairs
Recommends equipment to be included in preventive maintenance programs. Perform Preventative Maintenance task to identify all potential mechanical and electrical issues with equipment throughout the plant. Rebuild worn-out, but reusable, pieces of equipment, such as gearboxes for scheduled PM's.
Troubleshoot/ investigate and repair all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and utility systems including chillers, air compressors etc. Eliminates problems from recurring utilizing the Breakdown Analysis process
Communicates directly with equipment suppliers, contractors and vendors as necessary
Areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to -Production support - Mechanical Room- Water Processing - Boiler Room -Waste Water Treatment- Water Chemical Treatment Program
Qualifications:
Three or more years proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior experience with high and low pressure compressors, chillers, water treatment, boilers is preferred
Strong technical knowledge of compressed air systems (pneumatics), electrical systems, hydraulics and water processing is preferred
Knowledge of bottling equipment, PM programs and SAP system preferred
Successfully demonstrates strong mechanical abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employees.
Must have electrical knowledge of single and three phase power including the ability to diagnose and replace electric motors
Must be able to work and accomplish projects with little to zero supervision
Must be able to foster and build a team-work environment
Communicate effectively with various support groups, supervisors, and team members

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:

Responsible for planned schedule creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required.
Maintain departments operating expenses within approved budgets. Ensure that resources are used for optimum effect.
Provide technical and organizational leadership to departments. Motivate and coordinate department employees and handle any disciplinary issues that arise.
Manage e the introduction and purchase of new machinery, plant and equipment from specifications, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant work orders. Coordinate with the Purchasing Department the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal.
Manage the application of and supervision of machine shop theories and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques: Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree / vocational or technical school degree, emphasis in Mechanical/Automotive/HVAC/Welding/Plumbing is required. Preferred focus in Mechanical and/or Structural Trades.
Certifications in Mechanical and/or Plumbing Trades preferred.
At least 10+ years of prior, work related job experience.
Requires independent decision making, nonstandard problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, organizing and the supervision of Machine Shop, Automotive and Plumbing trades.
Thorough background in reading, modifying, or correcting blueprints, sketches, and drawings. Must fully comprehend manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and/or setup requirements. Essential Job Functions
Responsible for maintaining building facilities using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to facilitate Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Collaborates with other technicians to complete tasks and support the Environmental Health & Safety team.
Performs maintenance tasks involving electrical wiring, pneumatics, PLCs, servo motors, inventory management, and spare parts to execute scheduled preventive and unscheduled general maintenance activities.
Install new electrical circuits, ensuring compliance with safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hot Work, Arc Flash, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and unscheduled repairs, including troubleshooting electronic circuits and PLCs using schematics and OEM manuals.
Perform mechanical and parameter adjustments, dismantle machines for repairs or PMs, and coordinate with technical support, both internally and externally, for CNC machines and production equipment.
Assist in developing and reviewing new PMs, procedures, and policies.
Execute work orders (W/O) and coordinate with outside vendors for equipment maintenance.
Maintain functionality of emergency lighting, fire pump systems, alarms, extinguishers, and eyewash stations.
Comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Use appropriate PPE during maintenance tasks.
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards and clean/restock area at end of shift.
Engage in continuous improvement projects and 5S-related performance teams.

SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facilities.
Must be able to follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures.
Responsible for maintaining all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime.
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment by performing preventive and routine maintenance tasks.
Willingly able to work all necessary hours and shifts and is able to work on call as needed.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year(s) Industrial Maintenance experience with troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery”.
Basic Electrical experience and troubleshooting ability
Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical drawings.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Starting salary for position: $31.15 - $44.00 per hour.

Rake leaves, remove weeds, clean trash from assigned areas including parking lots, and prepare and treat soils for planting. Ability to recognize the more common species of ornamental shrubs, trees and flowers grown in California; perform strenuous physical work as described in this classification; utilize mechanical aptitude and motor coordination; learn to skillfully operate small trucks and power-driven grounds equipment; read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position; and follow simple oral and written instructions. Complete and fills out forms, including supply requisitions and Time Reports, as needed in performance of duties. The purchase and wearing of a State Park uniform is required and State Park grooming standards must be met.
The position may work up to 1500 hours within a consecutive 12 months. This position is designated as not telework eligible.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
Possession of a valid driver's license of the appropriate class and a safe driving record as documented by the Department of Motor Vehicles within 60 days prior to appointment.
