Cleans City streets by removing abandoned items, non-hazardous spills, and other debris. Cleans, operates, and maintains vehicles and a variety of light to heavy construction and maintenance machinery and equipment, including those powered by gas and electric power. Operates, maintains, and stores power spray equipment and chemicals. Maintains street markings and signage, including installation, removal, and repair. Sets-up traffic safety devices and barricades. Performs tree service duties and weed abatement, which may require the use of tree chippers, chain saws, and other gas powered equipment and includes helping to lower tree limbs, trimming shrubs, pruning small trees and bushes, sectioning limbs, assisting in removing trees, and planting trees. Removes graffiti markings by using paint to cover affected areas. Maintains vehicles, storage sites, and other work areas. Prepares, loads, and unloads supplies and materials. Lifts, moves, and carries heavy objects. Maintains and records accurate work logs and documentation. Uses computer or similar devices to input data and retrieve work orders.
