The incumbent ensures all working tools and supplies are available to conduct daily operations. Incumbent is responsible for submitting supply requisitions for mops, wash detergents, stripping compounds, and any other supplies necessary for keeping the building clean.     Maintenance Worker - Recreation and Parks $50,000 (Onsite) The City of Falls Church, VA is recruiting for a Maintenance Worker in the Recreation and Parks Department. This is full-time work, including setting up and breaking down of daily classes and events, maintaining the community center to include general daily custodial duties; perform scheduled routine maintenance to include carpet cleaning, floor waxing, etc. This position will also assist Park crews during snow removal and special events. Requirements: Must report to work in and wear steel-toed safety shoes of an acceptable standard at all times on the job, effective first scheduled workday Must be available to work weekends and overtime as well as respond to emergency situations Experience in maintenance work preferred, especially in the areas outlined above Ability to work outdoors for extended periods under all weather conditions, to include extremely hot summer weather as well as perform snow and ice removal during winter.
