Roles & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: * Perform routine maintenance and inspections on ready mix plants and plant equipment including but not limited to, mixers conveyors and batching equipment * Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic issues to ensure optimal plant operations * Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures and downtime * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including repairs made and parts used * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities * Collaborate with Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Manager and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks * Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as necessary * Identify hazards and maintain clean and organized working areas Qualifications: * 3 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in the concrete or construction industry * Strong mechanical, electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills * Knowledge of ready mix plant operations and equipment * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to work independently with minimum oversight and ability to work as a team * Strong communication skills * Ability to work in various weather conditions * Valid driver's license * Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends as needed * Fundamental knowledge of welding is a plus Physical Requirements: * Must wear all appropriate PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, masks, seat belt and steel toe boots) when performing safety sensitive duties or in certain areas of plant. If work requires driving in company vehicle or personal vehicle, seat belt must be worn while vehicle is in motion * Requires working in extreme weather; temperatures sometimes above 90 degrees, sometimes cold, wet or damp conditions * Requires walking on terrain that may be uneven, muddy and slippery * Exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable * Exposure to diesel exhaust, dust, and water mist or vapor. * Variable lighting conditions, dependent upon available natural light * Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing 30 - 50 pounds * Walk, stand, climb stairs and ladders, crouch/squat * Must be able to read and understand equipment installation instructions, technical specifications and or architectural drawings and be able to follow steps to properly and safely install carious types of equipment used in the production of ready mix concrete. General Nature of Work The\ Part\-Time Parks Worker I supports the City of Kennesaw\'s Parks & Recreation\ Department by performing routine maintenance and event support duties primarily\ at Adams Park and other City facilities. This role is essential to ensuring\ safe, clean, and well\-prepared recreational spaces for community use, during\ evenings, weekends, and special events. This person in this position is responsible for the general maintenance and cleaning in an assigned city park or area. Duties include assisting in the daily routine maintenance of parks, athletic fields, golf course, and park facilities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Collects and disposes of trash and debris on City Park property; Mows grass, picks up leaves and assists with snow removal as season dictates; Performs general golf course set up for daily play.
