We are currently seeking: A maintenance worker to join our team and perform unskilled general labor and maintenance work for City parks, streets, facilities and infrastructure in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures. Your responsibilities will include: Operating a variety of specialized equipment and performing general manual labor tasks in order to maintain parks, streets, infrastructure and City facilities as assigned; duties will vary according to job assignment and individual skills; responds to emergencies as needed. Performing maintenance and repairs within scope of authority, and in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; reporting safety hazards, equipment problems and emergency situations. Operating and maintaining a variety of tools and specialized equipment. Assisting in the repair and maintenance of parks and roadways; maintaining landscaping and grounds; clearing trash, brush, weeds and debris from roadways, structures, grounds and facilities. Cleaning and maintaining City facilities; making minor facility repairs; assisting with the construction of new facilities and installation of equipment. Cleaning and storing hazardous materials according to City policy and procedures. Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; to include some weekends/holidays. Regular and timely attendance is required.
