Help with general facility maintenance and repair, including repairing woodwork: replacing electrical switches, fixtures, and motors; painting, repairing, and replacing plumbing fixtures and drainage systems; and replacing broken glass Examine facility exterior and interior, playground equipment and grounds; perform maintenance and minor repairs Advise supervisor on all detected major facility repairs Conduct all repairs as assigned by work order or supervisor Assist with ground maintenance including moving and detailing Assist with moving of furnishings, such as desks, tables, chairs, file cabinets, etc. and perform repairs when needed Hang pictures, mirrors, blackboards, bulletin boards, projection screens, towel dispensers, soap dispensers and other items as requested. Install door and window assemblies and hardware, including window glass and screens. Install ceiling and flooring materials. Transport charter equipment and furniture Use equipment and tools following charter safety guidelines. Follow charter safety guidelines and techniques to accomplish job duties Make work area free of unsafe conditions and inform supervisor of problems that cannot be immediately corrected. Keep tools and equipment in optimum working order through required preventative maintenance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Skills: Capable of following verbal and written instructions. Working knowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair procedures. Effective verbal communication skills. Capable of operating hand and power tools. Capable of independent work. Must possess a valid TX driver's license and meet minimum insurance eligibility requirements. Targa Resources' Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall proper function of all types of mechanical equipment including engines, natural gas compressors, pumps, valves, filtration systems, pressure relief devices, and other specialty equipment. The Maintenance Technician teams are comprised of light and/or heavy maintenance level of responsibilities. Maintenance Technicians are assigned to the Plant or Field as needed based on mechanical expertise and level of experience. JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform rounds and readings at compressors stations and/or gathering and processing plants. * Inspects vehicle work, spill prevention and countermeasure, fire, transformers, engines hours, tank levels, filter changes, and other equipment as needed. * Perform routine startup/shutdown of field equipment, such as pumps, compressors, heaters, etc. * Complete applicable work/hot work permits, lockout/tagout documentation, attend and participate in tailgate sessions with others involved in work site activities. * Create and complete work orders in Maximo (Enterprise Asset Management software). * Order parts and manage inventory assigned for work completion. * Learn and understand Targa's Safety Policies, Job Safety Analysis, lockout/tagout, 2-step, and Procedures and Business Ethics Policies. * Focus on optimization of the stations and units by reviewing compressor dashboard, unit loading, etc. * Plan and perform all assignments in a safe manner by utilizing the proper tools, safety, and environmental precautions, permitting, and Process Safety Management. * Collaborate with other departments for construction support and commissioning of new stations and units. * Assist with training new technicians, handle environmental compliance tasks at regulatory frequency, ensure the equipment and levels operate reliably and efficiently. * Recognize equipment malfunctions and perform general maintenance and housekeeping at the stations and units; including but not limited to LDAR, leak repairs, minor I&E (Instrumentation and Electrical), assist heavy Maintenance Technicians when assigned on location. * Utilize the TRUCE app to ensure safe and compliant mobile device usage while operating vehicles or working in hazardous environments. * Field callouts alarms as needed. * Must be proficient in the use of tools including hydraulic torque wrenches, laser alignment, dial indicators, micrometers, and other precision tools. * Ability to train and perform as needed the top-end, major maintenance tasks on engines components performed based on manufacturer recommendation including but not limited to engine heads, turbos, bearing, water pumps, etc. * Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of 1 year of related work experience. * Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent * Basic knowledge of Natural Gas Characteristics, Engine and Compressor Operations and Maintenance. * Ability to work a 7x7 rotation schedule including overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectives for field or plant. * Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company. * Good interpersonal communication skills required to interface all involved teams, personnel, and vendors. * Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision. * Regular and reliable attendance by arriving on time for all scheduled shifts and meetings. * Accepts responsibility for individual tasks and following through on commitments. * Be someone colleagues and supervisors can rely on to complete tasks accurately, efficiently and safely. * Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, manage work orders, and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate. * Assess urgency and importance of tasks to effectively prioritize assignments in a timely manner. * Ensure that the company vehicle, tools, and equipment are kept clean, well-maintained, and in good order. * Pay close attention to details to ensure all maintenance tasks are performed correctly and safely. * Identify potential issues before they become problems and take the initiative to address them promptly. * Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, staying updated with the latest industry practices and technologies. * Actively help and support teammates, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. * Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MS TEAMS, Maximo, etc. * Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs. * Ability to work in changing climate conditions. * Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing. * Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), safety guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex). Quality Process Services Mechanic - New Mexico East Work Schedule:9/80 Multi skilled/ 5+ years of experience The Mechanic will assume the responsibility of safely maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment associated with oil and gas production operations and processing. Will be responsible for regularly scheduled large scale preventative maintenance and corrective repair maintenance activities on large COOP compression fleet and additional rotating equipment including VRU's, Air Compressors and a variety of pumps. Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies. Follow safe operating practices as described in the MCBU Safe Practice Manual and maintain a safe working environment. Responsible for work order management through CMMS and mobile applications, pre-work scoping activities, rotating equipment troubleshooting and other equipment reliability efforts. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License. Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays on assigned work schedule and overtime as workload demands. Must be able to read and interpret manuals and other technical materials. 5+ years of oil & gas compression/mechanical related experience. Preferred Qualifications: Associates of Applied Science degree or higher or Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) in Compression, Industrial Maintenance Technology or related mechanical technology discipline. 5 years current industrial mechanical experience, with emphasis on reciprocating engines, compressors, centrifugal compressors, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and generators.
