Accordingly, non-competitive rehire eligibility allows for re-appointment to the same position or another position appropriate for temporary appointment with the same qualification requirements (5 CFR 316.402[b][7]), based on series and grade, anywhere in the major subdivision (NPS).
If you have held a temporary seasonal appointment in the past 12 months and have already worked the maximum temporary appointment less than 1040 hours during that period, you are still welcome to apply. However, please be aware that exceeding the limit of 1040 hours in your established service year will result in the loss of your non-competitive rehire eligibility.
The limit can be exceeded by working multiple temporary seasonal positions that result in a combined total greater than 1040 hours. The limit also can be exceeded by working a single temporary seasonal appointment that exceeds 1040 hours, unless granted an exception by OPM.

What You Will Be Doing
Join our team as a Service Millwright, where you'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You'll be responsible for maintaining, rebuilding, and repairing machinery, as well as fabricating parts and servicing piping systems for steam, air, oil, water, and hydraulics. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills, welding experience, and a passion for hands-on problem-solving. What You Bring
Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery
Must provide own trade-related tools
Skilled in designing, cutting, threading, bending, fitting, and assembling pipe systems from instructions or blueprints
Proficient in troubleshooting, maintaining, rebuilding, and repairing machinery
Experienced in fabricating and welding equipment and parts
Able to service and replace piping for steam, air, oil, water, and hydraulic systems, valve repair experience a plus
Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
Thorough knowledge of mechanical production equipment
Pipe fitter's license is a plus

White Elephant Resorts is seeking a full-time, year-round Maintenance Engineer to join our property maintenance engineering team.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the general condition of our hotel properties with regards to all aspects of carpentry, painting, grounds keeping and preventative maintenance work
Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program
Check work orders and night report for any problems Make rounds checking these problem areas and note any information needed or safety concerns in the hotel
Schedule work in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms, coordinating with the Executive Housekeeper and Front Office
Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas
Assist electrician, carpenter, plumber and painter in all phases of repair work
Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisor in regards to routine and preventive maintenance
Skills:
A basic knowledge of troubleshooting plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues
Previous experience in a similar position
Be a clear thinker and perform well under pressure work assignments.
Work and perform job functions with minimal supervision.
Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, and have a great sense of humor. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office essential.
