This journey-level position will be responsible for: * Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair of equipment. * Designing, fabrication and welding of guarding equipment in steel, stainless and aluminum * Fabrication and installation of plumbing (plastic, threaded and welded) * Installing complex machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools * Reading blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Have a strong understanding of angles and great skill with squares and other tools and use advanced measuring tools that use lasers * Be required to have a thorough knowledge of all types of hand tools including fabrication tools * Must be able to dismantle and reassemble any production equipment that needs to be replaced or repaired * Have a thorough understanding of mass conveying, and experience with a broad range related mats and drives * Must have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructional books and manuals * Experience working on defective parts of machine, calibrate and/or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts * Must have the ability to connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation * Must have experience constructing foundations for machines, using related hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel to perform this task To qualify, you must currently be at a journey level Millwright. * Minimum of five (5) years of recent (within 3-years) experience as a journey level millwright in a manufacturing operation. * High School diploma or GED; certificate or diploma from a trade school a plus. * Welding, fabrication, general machine assembly and machine alignment experience, TIG, MIG and/or STICK welding will be a plus. * Must have experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems * Forklift and scissors lift experience highly preferred. * Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skill /experience * Successful candidates must be willing to work any shift to include 12-hour shift, evenings or days and work overtime. * Must have the willingness and ability to work at heights as well as climbing stairs * Must possess ability to work in an environment containing extreme heat or cold * Ability & willingness to perform the essential physical functions of the position, to include but not limited to, be able to lift up to 50 pounds and withstand a concrete surface for the entire shift.
