REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Job Summary:
The technician will perform cross-functional duties in plant maintenance. Duties include routine and preventative maintenance work on industrial machinery and equipment. Responsibilities also include continuously monitoring the status of all plant systems to ensure safe and efficient operation, as well as testing, inspection, calibration, and maintenance of all plant electrical/electronic equipment. Conduct troubleshooting and analysis on PLC, DCS, and CEMS systems.
Inspect, repair, install, and remove all motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signals, communication and electrical systems, and storage batteries.
Assist with the preventative and routine maintenance of mobile and plant equipment. Perform daily pre-/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance log.
Handle preventive maintenance of unloading systems.
Perform lubricating maintenance and cleaning activities.
Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and processing of work orders.
Layout, level, and align pumps, compressor turbines, machines, and centrifuges; repair pumps; set impeller clearances; and set fan blades.
Align belts and motors to gearboxes using manual tools, lasers, and computers.
Fabrication, assembly, and construction of new machinery and equipment.
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems, rotary mixers, bucket elevators, and batch ovens.
Learn to operate plant-specific mobile equipment (i.e., Front-end Loader).
Follow all safety rules, regulations, and procedures set forth by the Federal and State agencies & Zinc Resources, LLC. Policies

Job Summary:
Provide mechanical maintenance support to maintain equipment in an electrical generating power plant; may perform Lead Mechanic duties during absence of a Lead Mechanic.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, test, inspect, and repair equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, motors, valves, condensers, heat exchanger vessels, etc.
* Replaces bearings, packing in pumps and valves, shaft seals, sleeves, seats, and other miscellaneous parts used in plant equipment.
* Troubleshoot stationary and rotating equipment. Make repairs as need in accordance with best practices.
* Operate machine shop equipment such as drill presses, lathes and boring mills.
* Repair or replace defective parts.
* Adjust clearances and tolerances on equipment, working from a blueprint, pattern or design drawing, lays out.
* Use micrometers and other precision devices.
* Design and build special tools and apparatus to facilitate work.
* Scrape and fits bearings on rotating equipment.
* Checks equipment operation by observing oil pressures and levels, foreign sounds and similar observations. Gather routine vibration data and perform basic analysis.
* Perform gas and/or arc welding in mechanical repairs and fabrication. Additionally performs Oxygen Acetylene cutting and brazing.
* Performs plumbing and pipe fitting tasks
* Remove and install non-asbestos insulation materials on boilers, heaters, tanks, turbines, lines, valves, etc.
* Develop proficiency with SAP (Computerized Maintenance Management System) in all job related areas.
* Uses blueprints, diagrams, sketches, instructions and specifications in daily duties.
* Sets up rigging for installing and removing equipment
* Identify and order proper materials for job completion
* Document work performed for equipment histories
* Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines
* Effectively apply knowledge of environmental rules and regulations in all work situations.
* Review and/or develop equipment spare parts lists and PM procedures.
* Communicate effectively with all plant personnel
* Provide direction and/or supervise outside resources in areas of responsibility as necessary.

Working Conditions:
* Must be prepared to work irregular or rotating shifts and respond to emergency callout 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
* Ability to work in mentally stressful environments: must be able to react to crises where immediate action is required to correct or curtail potentially damaging or hazardous situations.
* Work with and around hazardous and non-hazardous materials (reference the waste management guidance manual).
* Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required i.e. steel-toed boots, respirators, goggles, safety glasses etc.
Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge of English, mathematics and grammar.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance experience in the repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of related power plant or machine shop equipment including inspection and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating and diagnostics OR 3 years mechanical maintenance experience in a similar industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associates degree or equivalent apprenticeship.

* Sound level of basic mechanical aptitude skills.
* Ability to use hand tools (e.g. wrenches, screw drivers, sledge hammers, etc.)

Job Summary
Summary: Operates and maintains all equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, generators, and steam equipment. This is a first shift 7am to 3:30pm M-F schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
* Perform repairs to building and grounds.
* Conduct routine rounds of mechanical spaces and documents equipment readings as required.
* Replace HVAC air filters per schedule.
* Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating. hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
* Notify managers the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
* Coordinate building and system repairs to with other departments.
* Respond to emergency call-in situations.
* Report any deficiencies on specific jobs or equipment.
* Assist other trades as required.
* Assist with facilities emergency events per policy.
* Support and review the work of outside vendors.
* Maintain mechanicals spaces per Quality Assurance Program.
* Maintain necessary stock and tools to perfrom work.
* Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
* Drive vehicles required to perform work.
* Document work per department procedures.
* Must complete safety and technical training as assigned by department director or designee.
* Must wear appropriate PPE and other protective gear and equiptment as required.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* High School Diploma or GED
* 1 year trade or vocational school
* Trade certificate preferred
* Valid unencumbered Driver's license
Experience:
* Five years' General Maintenance experience within commercial, industrial or healthcare setting
