Penn State Dickinson Law, Carlisle, PA is searching for a Maintenance Worker (General) B to join their team. Duties include:
* Operate tractors and power mowers; cut grass and weeds; trim lawns
* Plant, transplant, prune, spray and cultivate trees, grass, shrubbery, flowerbeds, etc.; fertilize and seed lawns as required
* Rake and remove leaves, paper, and other debris from lawns, parking lots and roadways
* Remove snow and ice as directed; spread cinders, sawdust and chemical ice and snow removers on walks and roads; operate large and small snowplows and blowers
* Perform routine maintenance on trucks, tractors and other gasoline driven equipment, including minor adjustment, lubrication, oil changing, etc.; sharpen lawn mower blades
* Assist maintenance personnel in general mechanical and building maintenance as required
* Load and unload trucks; check shipments received against delivery slips for accuracy; place shipment in designated storage areas
* Set up designated areas for various functions as required
* Move furniture, equipment and materials as required
* Spray trees, shrubbery and lawns with general and restricted pesticides and herbicides as needed
* Clean catch basins, drainage ditches, piping, manholes, etc.; remove debris and make minor repairs
* Operate University vehicles as required
* Mop, sweep, clean and vacuum floors
* Clean assigned areas of buildings, including food service areas, classrooms, stairs, hallways, offices, rest rooms, stockrooms, lounges, utility rooms, etc.
