Primary Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Transaction Processing Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports in accordance with established policies
Ensure appropriate coding, approvals, and supporting documentation for all accounts payable transactions
Prepare and process payment runs (checks, ACH, and wires) on a scheduled basis
Monitor and maintain the accounts payable inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution of inquiries
Assist with vendor onboarding and updates, including collection of W-9s and other required documents
Support reconciliation of accounts payable aging reports, vendor statements, and credit card transactions
Assist in the administration of corporate credit cards and travel & expense systems (e.g., Concur)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable files, both electronic and physical
Financial Analysis & Reporting Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accrual preparation
Support preparation of schedules for financial audits, LM-2 reporting, 1099's, 5500's, tax filings, and other compliance requirements
Assist in preparing 1099 forms and maintaining related vendor records
Provide data and reporting support for accounts payable metrics, cash forecasting, and expense analysis
Develop and maintain relevant financial dashboards
Support roll-out of Player distributions in collaboration with the Controller
Lead on processing payments and posting for select employee related matters including:
S/LTD and other Insurance /Standard Life Insurance (Compensation benefits)
MLB Benefit Plan (Health)
Vanguard 401K quarterly/employee
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
2+ Years of Accounts Payable or Accounting from reputable organizations
Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, model building)

The MLBPA is the exclusive collective bargaining agent for all Major League Baseball Players, Minor League Baseball Players playing in a United States-based Minor League, and individuals who may become such Major or Minor League Baseball Players. The Association represents those players for all purposes under the terms of the collective bargaining agreements between the MLBPA and the Thirty Clubs, including the filing and processing of grievances, and works with the agents who negotiate the players' salaries and other added terms of employment. The MLBPA has a long and proud history of standing up for the rights of its members - past, present and future.The Peggy Browning MLBPA Fellow will function much like a law clerk at any other union or union-side firm. They will be given a variety of research and writing assignments, depending on then-current demands. Where practical, the Fellow may attend arbitration hearings, grievance meetings, and other meetings with league officials, agents and players.The Association prefers applicants who will have completed a labor law course prior to the start of their fellowship and an interest in practicing union-side labor law.
Typically, an MLBPA Fellow will work full-time during the summer and continue on a part-time basis during the fall and spring semesters. As a result, the Association traditionally looks to hire students from New York-area law schools. This person will work collaboratively across the organization, driving success across the NFL's four key objectives in LSB: Continuing to Protect the Integrity of the Game; Advancing the NFL's Brand & Reputation; Driving Fan Engagement Globally; Growing the Value of the NFL's Data & IP.
Overview/Objective
This role will be responsible for continuing global gaming growth and strategy, advancing LSB initiatives and partnerships across the League and its 32 member clubs and ensuring accurate and timely communication with senior management and ownership. The ideal candidate works collaboratively and builds consensus while anticipating future dependencies. This person must possess strong interpersonal leadership qualities and have a deep understanding of sports betting, gaming, and fantasy sports, along with an understanding of the general sports business landscape.
Responsibilities
Project Oversight / Coordination: Lead & collaborate with the LSB working group to ensure cross-org alignment in LSB and advance strategic planning and execution of the NFL's approach to Sports Betting and other gambling-related categories.
Lead development of the LSB cross-org plan and submissions for strategic business planning processes
Work with Compliance, IT, Security, and other departments in advancing the NFL's Integrity monitoring and education programs
In partnership with key departments (e.g., Media, Sponsorship, Data & Analytics), create and track LSB objectives, metrics, and targets with robust strategic plans to deliver against goals
Manage the scope, development, and creation of all LSB ownership materials, including oversight of drafting memos and developing executive-level presentations
Work closely with the NFL's media department regarding the distribution of content for gaming purposes and the integration of gaming products into the NFL's platforms
Facilitate senior management decision-making with clear, concise presentations and analysis
Support NFL global priority market teams in monitoring the legislative landscape in these markets, as well as sharing expertise on key brands in each market to support partnership discussions.
Industry Analysis / Advisory: Serve as internal subject matter expert for the League and Clubs. Oversee development of analyses related to:
Market sizing (e.g., state-by-state market model)
