The Export Compliance Manager will lead compliance efforts and support global operations, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure adherence to U.S. regulations while enabling smooth, compliant international trade.
Job Summary:
The Export Compliance Manager is an individual contributor role, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's export compliance program to ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade regulations. This role serves as the primary liaison with government agencies, manages enforcement mitigation efforts, and drives internal compliance initiatives through policy development, training, auditing, and reporting. The position requires an initiative-taking approach to risk management, regulatory interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration to safeguard the organization against compliance violations and maintain operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Controls
Develop and maintain the company's Export Compliance Manual and SOPs.
Establish, implement, and continuously improve export compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Ensure accurate and timely EEI submissions for USPPI and FPPI verify that all supporting documentation is properly retained in accordance with 15 CFR §30.10 and company policy.
Knowledge of Transportation Security Administratioin (TSA) cargo security requirements is a plus.
Agency Liaison & Enforcement Mitigation
Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from U.S. government agencies related to export control and enforcement.
Lead penalty mitigation processes, including Petitions for Relief and Voluntary Self-Disclosures (VSDs).
Oversee root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and compliance enhancements.
Training & Internal Support
Monitor and interpret changes in export laws and regulations, update policies accordingly.
Develop and deliver training on compliance requirements, documentation standards, and red flag indicators.
Provide guidance on responsibilities under Commerce, Treasury, State, CBP, and other PGAs.
Collaborate with commercial and customer service teams to confirm client filing authorizations.
Auditing & Reporting
Conduct internal audits and self-assessments to identify compliance risks.
Review AES filings for accuracy and compliance.
Generate and analyze ACE AES reports; track error trends and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare compliance metrics and reports for management review.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, or related field, or 10+ years of equivalent experience in export compliance, trade regulations, or international logistics.
Minimum of 5 years of firsthand experience in export compliance or trade regulations.
Strong knowledge of EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and AES filing requirements.
Excellent analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Familiarity with Cargo Wise and ACE reporting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and geographic location. The role also includes a comprehensive benefits package, which covers medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Essential Duties:

Loads/Unloads product correctly using the appropriate handling techniques. Segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly.
Verifies the driver, trailer, and bills are all for that specific carrier and location. Counts freight with the driver and ensures all requirements are followed. Loads the trailer for safe transit and ensures the driver signs all required paperwork.

3. The Technical Writer will be responsible to create and update all Inbound and Outbound SWI's by working with the site leadership SME's/Sups
4. Upon any management request the Technical Writer will support teams in writing Playbooks for leadership roles, programs etc; that are approved by the Regional, Program and QMS Quality Managers. This may include translation support for new pilots.
5. After completion of the documents, they will send drafts to the SMEs for approval and then send to document control for control into JARVIS
6. The Technical Writer will track annual reviews of all SWI's to verify that the links are all accurate and references to SWI links are current. They will work with the Document Owners to validate.
7. Support the Quality Team with Annual Audits
8. Travel upon request of manager for training support, audits, and new projects that may need SWI's created.
Travel is required as needed to support new launches or site build ups. Estimation for travel is 15-20%.

· Ensuring vehicles, buildings, company grounds and general maintenance service is completed as needed. Tour warehouses on a regular basis to ensure buildings and equipment are safe and ready to operate. Make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve the maintenance function.
· Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all equipment and facilities that will minimize disruptions in warehouse operations and ensure the maximum useful life of the equipment. Monitor all materials handling equipment (MHE) maintenance activities, making sure that all equipment is serviced as required. This may involve outside service providers.
· Enforce established housekeeping policies and procedures to minimize staff injuries, lost production time, damage and contamination of product. Interact with trash hauling and salvage companies to ensure that services are provided. Operate in accordance with OSHA and other applicable standards.
· Track building and equipment repair and monitoring preventive maintenance programs. Develop a Maintenance Schedule to support the site.
· Purchase parts, supplies, and fuel necessary to perform required maintenance. Maintain a cost-effective parts replacement program and inventory. Negotiate, follow up and enforce any maintenance contracts with outside vendors.
· May delegate certain functions to trained and qualified employees, as necessary.

Freight Forwarder Air Import is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination. This role involves coordinating with multiple parties, including airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies, and requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination
Communicate with airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods
Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed
Prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
Manage relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
Educational background / Work experience
Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
Experience in air imports is highly desirable
