Her second book, The Chia Cookbook (Ten Speed Press/Random House), features 80 recipes that prove how easy it is to boost nutrition and enhance the taste of every meal with chia seeds. Prior to starting Mamma Chia, Janie taught meditation, mindfulness and spiritual studies in North America and Asia. She continues to work passionately promoting conscious business practices and healthy lifestyles. Janie is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a B.A. in Marketing.
