Responsibilities:

  • Performing mammography exams on all patients for the purpose of breast cancer detection while delivering exceptional patient care

  • Maintaining equipment according to Infection Control procedures and performing quality control procedures as requested

  • Instructing patients in pretest preparation, answering questions, and explaining procedures according to department guidelines/procedures

Experience Required for Your Success

Required Experience:

  • Technologist background with a minimum of 2 years mammography clinical experience

RequiredLicense/Certification:

  • Valid ARRT license, registered in Mammography

  • Valid CPR certificate, as needed

  • Valid state license

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal needed

Special Qualifications

+ ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology

Knowledge, Skill and Ability

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

+ Lifting, moving and helping patients.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to stoop, crouch, and twist. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, squat, and sit.

+ The employee must be able to consistently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 10 pounds, frequently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally support, push, pull and/or transfer up to 50 pounds (for example, moving a patient from a wheelchair to a bed.)

+ Functional physical demands include, manual dexterity, fine motor skills and reaching. The following senses will be needed for essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, and touch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Performs high quality mammography procedures

+ Coordinates clinical information and previous imaging exams and reports as indicated
