The Pricing Analyst is responsible for advanced data collection, consolidation, and in-depth analysis of sales and pricing data for HVAC products. This role leads pricing strategy development, evaluates competitor pricing, and recommends comprehensive adjustments to optimize sales performance. Position Responsibilities may include: • Serve as a subject matter expert on Mapics and Mincron systems, leading efforts to review, revise, and update product attributes and pricing, ensuring accuracy across all ERP systems. • Lead complex analyses of sales, pricing, and margin data to develop comprehensive pricing strategies that align with overall business goals. • Conduct deep-dive analyses on new and existing customer data to identify significant trends, opportunities, and competitive advantages. • Lead pricing and product positioning assessments, making strategic recommendations to improve profitability and market competitiveness. • Collaborate with divisional leadership to provide strategic insights on pricing data for high-level decision-making. • Act as a key advisor to field sales teams, providing sophisticated pricing and promotional strategies based on data analysis and market trends. • Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned. • Train and mentor other Pricing Analysts • Continuously provide strategic insights and recommendations that support business growth and optimization. • Maintain, oversee, and ensure the integrity of base pricing and the accuracy of price books across all company systems. • Review and audit pricing models and structures, ensuring compliance and consistency with business objectives. • Take a leadership role in managing customer pricing inquiries, providing timely and expert-level responses. • Collaborate extensively with Marketing to ensure all base and distributor pricing is strategically positioned prior to product launches. • Design and maintain advanced pricing models that track the long-term impact of pricing decisions on sales, profitability, and market share. • Lead and support various ad hoc projects and analyses, working closely with Pricing, Marketing, and other internal teams to drive strategic initiatives. • Work alongside the Credit Group to review and approve complex pricing adjustments, credit requests, and invoice corrections. • Identify and implement strategic process improvements to enhance pricing accuracy and profitability, leading cross-functional efforts to drive continuous improvement. Nature & Scope: • Applies advanced job knowledge gained through significant work experience and/or specialized education. • Uses discretion and judgment to adapt processes and develop new solutions to complex problems. • Operates with limited supervision and often takes the lead on tasks, projects, and problem resolution. • Provides mentorship and guidance to junior analysts. • Solves a range of difficult problems independently, offering innovative solutions and strategic insights. Knowledge & Skills: • Extensive knowledge of Mapics and Mincron systems, with the ability to lead pricing reviews and updates across all ERP platforms. • Expertise in consolidating and analyzing complex data to deliver impactful, strategic pricing recommendations. • Ability to evaluate market trends, sales performance, and pricing strategies to develop high-level insights and strategies. • Proven ability to maintain the integrity of pricing systems and ensure accurate, complete data across all platforms. • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, and Credit. • Advanced skills in developing pricing models and tracking systems that align with business strategies and goals. • Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting insights and strategies to senior leaders and cross-functional teams. • Ability to take a leadership role in strategic initiatives, driving process improvements, and ensuring profitability. Experience: • 6+ years of relevant experience in pricing analysis, with demonstrated expertise in leading complex analyses and strategy development. Education/Certification: • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or certifications in finance, business, or related fields preferred.
