Job Summary/Purpose
The Advanced Grid Operations Analyst (AGOA) is responsible for monitoring advanced grid equipment and ensuring secure connectivity, configuration and device performance. Examples of advanced grid devices include advanced meters, smart streetlights, intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) such as recloser or capacitor bank controls, and integrated distributed energy resources (DERs) such as batteries or utility-controlled customer loads like smart thermostats. AGOAs will monitor and analyze event and alarm data and provide the first tier response from a control center environment. Working closely with network and data integrity analysts, Advanced Grid Ops Analysts will determine if any issues with device performance are local to a specific device or due to broader problems with telecom networks or IT systems. Incident tickets will be routed to the appropriate group to resolve-i.e. telecom field resources, OpCO servicemen, IT support, etc. AGOAs are also responsible for planning and implementing configuration changes to devices over the network-typically for a large population of devices. Configuration changes can include device firmware, programming, or settings changes.
For example, Advanced Grid Ops Analysts will be supporting resources in the AMI Operations Center (also known as "AMOC") responsible for day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of revenue meter reliability in an AMI operational environment. During both deployment and steady-state, individuals in this role will ensure that meter reads are consistently communicated between the devices (meters) and the head-end system, and that any issues or incidents preventing communication or data are triaged and addressed in a timely manner.
The Advance Grid Ops Analyst will manage connected-grid devices and the software platforms that are integrated with them. Tasks include:
* Daily analysis of device events and alarms in order to identify trends and address the most critical issues requiring resolution
* Implementation of processes and procedures to ensure that devices are operating and communicating data securely
* Remote device analysis and incident response coordination
* Responsibility for decision to deploy field resources to replace inoperable equipment and determination of appropriate resources and prioritization
* Device service management and device configuration management-including developing implementation plans for deployment of programs or firmware to a high volume of devices
* Significant collaboration with telecom and IT operations resources to coordinate incident response-i.e. "is it the network, the system or the device?"
* Utilization of analytics and data computation tools in order to perform high volume service and event management-i.e. Spotfire, Tableau, Cognos, Excel, Informatica, etc.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities
* Support the resolution of incident and problem management between operations center (i.e. AMOC) and field services teams, monitor field service requests and give direction on troubleshooting-related work orders.

* Leverage data analytics to develop and optimize reports and dashboards for executing newly created or modified procedures.
* Test new process, procedure and technology releases to ensure seamless business operations during the execution of initiatives that impact the steady-state-i.e. major projects, software releases, vendor product upgrades, etc. Participate in change management planning and execution activities in support of these initiatives.
* Collaborate with peers in data integrity, network, IT and lab engineering roles to develop solutions and execution plans for complex issues-i.e. security threat diagnosis, network performance optimization, persistent problems with a device platform, etc.
* Track device events and alarms over pre-determined time frames to identify trends, conduct complex modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to identify operational efficiencies.
* Develop relevant operational reports to demonstrate trends in device and network events and incidents and assist in the proactive identification and resolution of incidents, with the goal of maintaining reliable device-i.e. advanced meter-communication at all times.

I. ABOUT THE ROLE

II. BASIC FUNCTION
The Procurement Analyst supports Canal Barge's strategic sourcing and purchasing activities by analyzing spend, supplier performance, procurement workflows, and cost-saving opportunities across the company. The role evaluates procurement data for trends and inefficiencies, assists in optimizing purchasing systems and processes, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to improve value, service quality, and operational alignment. This position also contributes to vendor management, business system analysis, and cross-departmental initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness and organizational efficiency.
III. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Procurement Analyst has the following responsibilities:
A. Procurement Analysis & Value Optimization
Analyze procurement strategies and spend data to identify efficiency gains, cost-reduction opportunities, and improved buying practices.
Assess repair-vs-replace decisions using lifecycle, cost, and operational considerations.
Index and monitor pricing history for critical materials such as fuel and statistically evaluate pricing trends.
B. Systems, Technology & Process Improvement
Support development, testing, and implementation of procurement-related systems and tools (e.g., Sinex, Procurify, Workday), including documenting requirements and validating enhancements.
Create or refine process documentation, logic flows, and user workflows that improve purchasing efficiency and data accuracy.
Assist in the development of dashboards and reports in Tableau, Excel, or Workday to support analytics, vendor evaluation, and operational insights.
C. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate closely with Buyers, Operations, and Asset Management to align purchasing activities, monitor buying patterns, and support vessel needs.
Communicate effectively with department heads, vessel crew, maintenance teams, and executive staff regarding procurement actions, priorities, and vendor-related updates.
Participate in or support RFQs/RFPs, including gathering requirements, communicating with vendors, and analyzing bids when needed.
D. Vendor Management & Analytics
Provide vendor performance analytics through dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards to support vendor owner decision-making.
Assist in vendor discovery, pricing verification, and availability research to support operational requirements.
Engage with vendors professionally via email, Teams, phone, and in-person meetings; maintain compliance with Canal's vendor-relations policies.
E. Business Analysis
Partner with business and technology teams to translate operational needs into clear technical requirements.
Analyze, document, and test program development, logic, specifications, and process flow for procurement-related systems.
Create RFQ's and be able to analyze results and summarize findings and recommendations.
F. General & Leadership Support
Maintain effective communication across departments to ensure project clarity, proper handoffs, and timely follow-up.
Support procurement team members during periods of absence or high workload, including assistance with purchasing, invoice coding, and order management.
Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Procurement.

The Procurement Analyst is appointed by and reports to the Director of Procurement at the headquarters in the central business district of New Orleans.
V. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Marine industry experience preferred

Additional Information

The primary role of the ISSO will be the oversight of implementation of FedRAMP Moderate controls for Maximus FedRAMP systems and the management, and administration of a System Security Plan (SSP) to include all required artifacts needed for ATO continuous monitoring in accordance with agency specific and contractual requirements. This role will support the primary ISSO for Maximus Cloud.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring information security for an assigned area of Business/Project focusing on key areas of risk, as outlined in the Information Security policy, under the direction of the Information Security management team.
- Conduct Information Security risk assessments and compliance evaluations for infrastructure and application assets within required timeframes and to industry standards and regulatory specifications.
- Ensure controls are properly and fully implemented to address identified Information Security risks for assigned area of responsibility.
- Define, create and maintain the documentation for certification and accreditation of each information system in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and support audits and client reviews of security posture; coordinate the collection, review and submission of Information Security deliverables and track the remediation of audit findings and exceptions.
- Manage expectations with multiple stakeholders on projects and programs in conjunction with the Information Security team.
- Promotion of Information Security awareness through various communication channels within the organization.
- Collaborate with the Information Security team members on process improvements, secure design and recertification of MAXIMUS assets.
- Create and manage System Security Plan and creation and or validation of all associated artifacts required to maintain FedRAMP ATO and NIST 800-53 compliance to include but not limited to a System Level Continuous Monitoring (SLCM) Strategy, HW/SW lists, Information Flow Diagrams, System Categorization Forms, System Topologies, Configuration Management Plan, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Charter, System and Services Acquisition Plan, System and Information Integrity Plan, System and Communication Protection Plan, Security Assessment and Authorization Plan, Risk Assessment Plan, Program Management Plan, Security Planning, Physical and Environmental Protection Plan, Personnel Security Plan, Media Protection Plan, Identification and Authentication Plan, Contingency Plan, Audit and Accountability Plan, Security Awareness and Training Plan, Incident Response Plan, Access Control Plan, SCRM Plan, Risk Assessment Review (RAR) and Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M). (50%)
- Liaison with Maximus Federal business units, Maximus Corporate business units, system owner, and external stakeholders to ensure all legal and contractual requirements pertaining to cybersecurity, physical security, and Information Assurance are being met. (20%)
-Communicate federal requirements to Maximus Information Security Office (ISO) and advise implementation of applicable security controls and hardening standards to governance and technical teams. (10%)
- Assist the BISO and ISO Team in the identification and assignment of control owners throughout the organization and continually review controls on organizationally defined periodicities. (10%)
- Actively collaborate with Maximus Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) Team to ensure applicable technologies are compliant with defined vulnerability remediation timelines and hardening standards via enterprise vulnerability management tools. (10%)
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- 7+ of security or technology related experience.
- GSA RMF and A&A Experience desired
- Strong understanding of federal requirements to include but not limited to applicable Executive Orders, FedRAMP, FISMA, FIPS, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-60, and NIST 800-65.
- Experience developing SSP's and applicable artifacts required for A&A activities.
- Experience with STIG compliance.
- Experience with vulnerability management and assessment via Qualys, Tenable, Acunetix, and AWS Inspector.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

Position Summary
The Systems Analyst, under direct supervision, supports legacy technology systems and maintains the technical infrastructure, provides technical analysis and ensures overall operations and automation.
