We are looking for a Sr. Anti-Piracy Analyst to protect the organization's intellectual property, applications, and network infrastructure from security threats, including software piracy, DDoS attacks, and malicious bot activity. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, implementing security controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This is a full-time, on-site position based at Mitchell 1's headquarters in San Diego, operating Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Monitor and analyze network and application security events using Splunk, Rapid7, and other tools. Detect and prevent web application software piracy, including unauthorized distribution and license circumvention. Implement and maintain application-level security controls to protect intellectual property and enforce licensing compliance. Collaborate with software developers to integrate secure coding practices and anti-piracy mechanisms into applications. Partner with network and system administrators to maintain secure network configurations and to harden systems. Implement DDoS mitigation strategies and configure F5 BIG-IP load balancers for application and network security. Deploy and manage Bot defense technologies to prevent automated attacks on web applications. Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing detailed root-cause analysis and corrective actions. ABOUT THE POSITION: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate for the Analyst or Associate, Transmission & Interconnection position. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound industry knowledge, superior communications, and detail-oriented organizational skills. This role reports to Ali Chowdhury, Sr. Vice President, Transmission and Interconnection. Avantus' Transmission & Interconnection team is responsible for providing interconnection strategy of all utility scale solar and storage projects, performing analysis on the transmission system to identify capacity for potential projects, and leading the company through the necessary transmission & interconnection processes of utilities and ISOs. Avantus is active in multiple ISOs and vertically integrated markets across the country, with multiple projects at various stages of development. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead projects through the interconnection process from project inception through Commercial Operation for Avantus' projects in ISOs (CAISO, ERCOT, SPP) and vertically integrated markets (WECC). Evaluate transmission and interconnection tariffs, costs, timelines, queue, and processes for a variety of markets and provide strategy to the project teams Coordinate efforts to meet all interconnection requirements including interconnection applications, interconnection studies, interconnection agreements, and post-IA project execution milestones Negotiate interconnection study results and interconnection agreements with utilities toward favorable project outcomes Lead communication and build relationships with utilities/ISOs and track interconnection progress to ensure projects are complete in a timely and cost-effective manner Identify optimal interconnection locations in target markets based on multiple cross-functional siting criteria Track changes to interconnection tariffs, business practice manuals, and key transmission upgrades in target markets Collaborate on interconnection milestones with cross-functional team including Development, Origination, Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Legal, Land Acquisition, Land Entitlement, Procurement, HV Engineering, Optimization Engineering, Construction, and Operations REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 2-3 years' related experience in interconnection and project development or transmission planning at a utility, ISO/RTO, or project developer Deep understanding of CAISO and WECC utilities tariffs, interconnection processes, transmission service processes, transmission planning processes, and late-stage resource implementation processes Demonstrated ability to work autonomously at a dynamic pace, find creative solutions, track major milestones, and prioritize several projects simultaneously Ability to provide verbal and written summaries of interconnection processes, results, milestones, and statuses for both a technical and non-technical audience Ability to read and negotiate long legal contracts (Interconnection Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, Independent Engineer Reports, Financing Documents) Experience developing lasting relationships with utilities, consulting firms, ISO/RTOs, and regulators Strong capability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, & Google Earth Nice to Haves: Ability to use OASIS/OATI, GE PSLF, PSSE, Grid view, and/or AutoCAD Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering and/or MBA Experience with utilities and ISOs Up to date with queue reforms, study changes #LI-Onsite Avantus offers competitive compensation with an excellent benefits package, including 401(k) matching ; comprehensive medical and dental plan options; and flexible PTO. About the role: PMAT is seeking Program Analysts to provide technical and analytical support for coordinating testing and installation events in support of NAVWAR's AI pillar. This role requires direct engagement with warfighter end-users, fleet stakeholders, and development teams to facilitate the seamless deployment and integration of advanced software and hardware systems across afloat, shore, and submarine platforms.
