The successful candidate for the Compound Management Scientist II position will join the PathHunter Services team with a multifaceted approach for providing high value services based on the DiscoverX PathHunter platform and other proprietary technologies. The position will focus on the management of reference and customer compounds and operation of liquid handling equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide support to manager for management of day-to-day operations of LHS Fremont Compound management team
•Receipt, registration and storage of customer compounds.
•Notification of compound receipt.
•Programming and operation of liquid handling equipment- ECHO, Agilent Velocity 11, etc
•Managing reference compounds inventory, including ordering, database entry and records of certificate or analysis.
•Maintaining inventory for consumable items.
•Reconstituting new compound stocks as required.
•Generating compound plates for testing.
•Demonstrate attention to detail and process.
•Maintenance of equipment, scheduling regular PM's
•Performing routine weekly QC of instruments and pipettes.
•Participation in routine lab maintenance/ clean up.
•Participation in Capacity management and maintaining 5S in Lab
•Managing junior personnel n
•Daily laboratory notebook entry.
•Weekly progress report generation.
•Participation in and presentation at group laboratory meetings.
•Perform other duties as required and assigned.
•May need be required to run some cell-based assays.

Expertise in compound management preferred.
Additional preferences:
Experience with lab automation strongly desired (liquid handlers / plate readers, robotics).
Experience with databases preferred (Activity Base / Spotfire).
Certificates and/or Licenses (BMQ):
This position does not require any certificates or licenses.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):
Must be detailed orientated and consistent in experimental approach.
Must be team-oriented and accustomed to working with other scientists.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Must be comfortable and experienced working in a commercially focused lab environment.

Must be willing to help co-workers at all times
