Job DescriptionLocation: Tampa, Florida / Hybrid - open to considering candidates in the state of Florida.Reports To: Deltek ERP Systems Manager How Your Role Will Shape Our Success Walker Consultants is seeking a Deltek Analyst to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system - Deltek Vantagepoint. As we enter a high-growth phase in 2026, this role is critical to supporting the user adoption of Deltek Vantagepoint features and enhancements.
This position will provide critical support for the expansion and ongoing optimization of Project Planning, CRM, Deltek training, and other user-defined Deltek initiatives. The role will also assist with day-to-day support for all Deltek users across the organization.
Working closely with the ERP Systems Manager, this position will support the development and delivery of training, troubleshoot system and user issues, develop and train users on reporting capabilities, and assist with the implementation of Deltek enhancements and system improvements.
In addition, the role will contribute to research and evaluation efforts aimed at expanding Deltek functionality to improve operational efficiencies, strengthen project management support, and advance key leadership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Administration & Technical Support
- Daily Support: Serve as the internal support for all Vantagepoint modules (Accounting, CRM, Resource Planning, and Project Management).- System Testing: Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for all Deltek updates, patches, and custom workflow changes to ensure seamless implementation and minimal disruption.- Data Integrity: Perform regular audits of project and employee records to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability for firm-wide reporting. 2. Training & Knowledge Leadership - Internal SME: Serve as the definitive "go-to" expert for staff questions regarding Vantagepoint functionality.- Training Delivery: Conduct live and recorded training sessions for new hires and existing staff on specific modules and advanced functionality.- “Tips of the Week”: Research, develop, and distribute a weekly firm-wide highlighting efficiency hacks, new features, and best practices within the application.- Module Maintenance: Support the rollout and ongoing maintenance of the "Deltek 101" training module to ensure high adoption rates across all offices. 3. Strategic Support
- Initiative Facilitation: Assist the [Deltek ERP Systems Manager] in the rollout of 2026 strategic initiatives- Process Documentation: Develop and maintain a library of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guide consistent, best-in-class system usage firm-wide.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience & Education: - ERP Expertise: 1-3 years of direct hands-on experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, Deltek Vision, or similar Enterprise Application.- Industry Knowledge: Experience working within an AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) firm is highly preferred.- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of the project lifecycle in a professional services environment.- Working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint's reporting tools and workflow configuration.- Exposure to Power BI or AI-driven data entry is a significant plus. Compensation & Benefits
At Walker Consultants, we are committed to maintaining fairness and equity in our pay practices. For this role, the estimated base salary range is $80,000 - $95,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. Produces and disseminates a Weekly USCENTCOM Executive Summary following the TWG meeting in order to inform the USCENTCOM, Component Commanders, Joint Task Force Commanders, Senior Defense Officials/Defense Attaché Offices and their staffs of the TWG threat analysis and Force Protection recommendations resulting from the meeting. Collaborates with USCENTCOM CCJ2, the Intelligence Community, and Forward Elements for threats and mitigation of threat(s) in order to produce Force Protection Snapshots. Periodically answers Requests for Information (RFI) from Component Commands, Joint Task Forces, USCENTCOM Directorates, CCJ3-JSO branches, and other commands.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree (not degree specific).
* Minimum of 10 years of experience as an All-Source Analyst at the Service/Component, or COCOM level.
* Experience at briefing at the Service, Component Command or COCOM level.
