Job Description

Position Overview

The Asset Manager is responsible for a wide range of activities all directed toward the same goal: safely maximizing the profitability of Invenergy's portfolio of operating clean energy assets.

Responsibilities

Finance:


Assist in developing annual budgets for the projects and perform periodic variance analyses Provide input and review of the pro-forma financial models for generation assets Author reports on project performance for investors and lenders Assist in cash flow forecasting and management Perform financial analyses of aftermarket improvements Develop other ad-hoc analyses as needed

Operations:


Collaborate with the operations engineering team to evaluate and improve operational performance Coordinate with project O&M staff on other operational items, including major component repair and replacement Participate in contract development with outside vendors, from soliciting quotes to participating in final contract negotiation

Regulatory and compliance:


Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project agreement Power Purchase Agreements Operating Agreements Credit Agreements Operations and Maintenance Agreements


Required qualifications

This role is within our Balance Sheet Management team (BSM), as the team lead for BSM's Global Markets Forecast team.

BSM is a division within the CFO Group responsible for providing executive management with accurate and timely forecasts of the balance sheet and net interest income (NII). This information provides the framework that allows the company to position its balance sheet consistent with its risk appetite and expectations for changes in interest rates.

The Global Markets Forecast team within Balance Sheet Management primarily focuses on (1) analyzing data, reviewing LOB balance forecasts, and producing an empirically based independent forecast for the net interest income (NII) for Global Markets, and (2) continuing to improve BSM's balance sheet and NII forecast by legal entity with a focus on intercompany relationships.

The Asset Liability Manager role will actively lead a team of analysts in delivering on the primary focus points above, as well as broader efforts that are strategic and project-oriented in nature. In addition to day-to-day management of the team, they act as a subject matter expert across the broader team and lead projects to stabilize, automate, and/or improve our efforts to maintain best-in-class capabilities and forecast frequency. The Asset Liability Manager presents to executive management and regulators product analytics, inclusive of scenario analysis. They drive forward key initiatives both internal to BSM and across Treasury teams, inclusive of designing and building business requirements for technology development.

They are responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of controls for reporting that meets regulatory and internal policy requirements. This is a collaborative effort requiring contributions across multiple teams and geographic locations, therefore requiring application of project management, communication, and leadership skills. The Asset Liability Manager will get significant exposure to senior stakeholders across Treasury through leading initiative routines to communicate progress, issues, risks, and key decisions.
