50% Manage all cultural activities associated with research plots for vegetables, hazelnuts, and other crops at the Vegetable Research Farm. Provide orientation, technical advice, and consultation to farm users on cultural practices and farm policies and procedures. Communicate pesticide safety concerns and general safety practices to farm users. Participate, coordinate, and supervise, soil testing, land preparation, lime application, planting, pesticide application, rodent control, irrigation, and harvest of crops to provide precise and uniform field research conditions. Utilize proper cover crop management techniques for good soil health, uniformity and weed control in farm ground. Work with research project leaders to design the best set of management practices, based on experience in working individual farm fields and soils, to achieve desired research project goals. Provide detailed consultation and/or specific project oversight in those instances where individuals are infrequent farm users. Keep accurate records of all field operations, including implements used and materials (cover crops, pesticides, soil amendments) applied. Coordinate, supervise, and participate in the transportation of equipment from the Vegetable Farm to the satellite farms and to other off-station research sites, as requested. 50%Manage all cultural activities associated with research plots for vegetables, hazelnuts, and other crops at the Vegetable Research Farm. Provide orientation, technical advice, and consultation to farm users on cultural practices and farm policies and procedures. Communicate pesticide safety concerns and general safety practices to farm users. Participate, coordinate, and supervise, soil testing, land preparation, lime application, planting, pesticide application, rodent control, irrigation, and harvest of crops to provide precise and uniform field research conditions. Utilize proper cover crop management techniques for good soil health, uniformity and weed control in farm ground. Work with research project leaders to design the best set of management practices, based on experience in working individual farm fields and soils, to achieve desired research project goals. Lease Administration:
Perform move-in inspections with new residents.
Review Welcome packet with new resident in a timely manner.
Maintain legal records/files.
Input daily activity on daily and vacancy reports.
Assist with resident relations:
Prepare and process resident service requests.
Assist with resident problems and complaints concerning rent payments, service requests, etc.
Assist with preparation of newsletters and promotion flyers.
Assist with the planning of community activities and events.
Accounting policies and procedures:
Collect, record & deposit rental payments, application fees, security deposits, etc.
Maintain account records and journals and make bank deposits.
Help to prepare weekly and monthly reports as required.
Help to prepare legal action for evictions, as necessary.

Assist Manager with complying in a timely manner to all regulatory agencies and investors.
Assist with administrative and building operations are in compliance with the regulatory agencies.

Assist in preparing applicable sites for Management and Occupancy (MOR), REAC, Housing Quality Standards (HQS), regulatory agencies, investor audits, and inspections.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports directly to the on-site manager. In absence of manager, supervises and schedules maintenance and on-site personnel. Works with property manager, administrative division staff, staff members of other developments, outside vendors and service providers.
