The Opportunity

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Operational Excellence based in Raritan, NJ. This position directly supports the VP of Operations to drive significant improvements across operations by building a culture and processes of operational excellence, including continuous improvement. This position focuses on operations strategy development and deployment, operations project management, and continuous improvement. The position partners with key stakeholders to establish an operational excellence strategy and deployment of the strategy. It involves developing capability at various levels of the organization relative to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Responsibilities
Lead the operations strategy development for the Rochester and Raritan sites and ensure there is an active pipeline of projects aligned to business priorities, KPIs, and results. Ensure that there is a solid operating mechanism/review for project management and execution.Management of Monthly and weekly operations review.Establish and mature a Lean Management System (tiered daily management systems, Gemba, and leader standard work) and other coaching tools to transform the culture.Coach the development of leaders and the general population relative to continuous improvement.Lead/Manage specific operational projects, especially regarding capacity and operational improvement.Facilitate kaizen charter development and events. Follow up on Kaizen actions and ensure successful completion of action items for making improvements.Share best practices and drive continuous improvement and Standard Work across processes.Partner with business leaders to develop, standardize, and drive operating mechanisms that drive key performance indicator visibility, accountability, and action planning to continually improve business performance.Develop a culture that emphasizes quality and safety improvements as part of continuous improvement.Manager/Supervise Junior Staff to ensure operational excellence and/or project management needs are met at the plants/sites.Support the Senior Leadership Team, with the Identification, Selection, and Execution of Continuous Improvement opportunities.Work directly with all levels of the organization to develop and implement process improvements.Elaborate implementation plans for identified improvements.
